Comments about Induro Alloy 8M AT313 Tripod:

This tripod is rock solid and very well built. However, when I opened the box it was longer and a little heavier than I expected. However, due to the stability of the tripod, I will take a litlte extra weight for the quality of the build. It has a nice carrying case and tool kit. If you're looking for a good all around tripod for a decent price, this is your tripod. However, if you're only looking for a travel tripod, this is not for you.

Comments about Induro Alloy 8M AT313 Tripod:

After too many years it was time to retire the Star-D Pro I bought in 1974 and a friend suggested this. Couldn't be more pleased. When I first used the tripod I extended the legs their entire length and the viewfinder was above eye level (I'm a tad over 6'). And I can lower the tripod almost to the ground with the legs extended straight out. This should last another 40 years.

Comments about Induro Alloy 8M AT313 Tripod:

I use this at home where I want the stability and don't need to portability of a small carbon fiber tripod. Solid, stable, and extends more than high enough for me without the center column. Good product and a good value. Probably not the right choice for a long hike but a great choice for stability if you don't have to carry it too far.

Comments about Induro Alloy 8M AT313 Tripod:

Heavy duty, solid, and stable. I was initially looking at the AT413, but I am happy that I decided to go with this model instead. It weighs 5.8 lbs, which some say is a bit on the heavy side compared to CF legs, but for me I have not found it to be too heavy to this point. But then again, I have not yet gone on any long hikes with it yet, having only used it on a few short trips. I am impressed with the build quality and workmanship so far. Also, I am not a "working" pro", and after researching tripods online and reading many different reviews, I felt that this tripod would work well for me. I am using this tripod with an Acratech GV2 ballhead, a Nikon D800, and mainly a 24-120 f4 lens, shooting mostly landscapes. Hopefully, I will still feel this way and be happy with it in a year or more from now after I have used it more extensively.

Rugged and built like a tank this Induro tripod is well built. It holds a Canon 100-400mm lens with ease and has no wobble . I was impressed with the feel and attention to detail of this tripod. I feel confident that my equipment will not accidentally tip over or fall because of wind. Very satisfied .

Really good sturdy tripod. I don't need to worry about shake with this one. However it is not as smooth as I would like. Sometimes when I'm in a hurry is when the legs stick, usually with a camera and large lens already attached which exacerbates the problem. In my case saving the cash (which was considerable) was worth it. Just requires a little extra fiddling sometimes. Weight is not an issue.

Comments about Induro Alloy 8M AT313 Tripod:

I am a student/semi-professional photographer. I bought this after months of comparison shopping. I bought it to accompany my 5D mk III, that usually has the battery grip on it. I do all kinds of photography, inside and out, and needed a versatile and rugged tripod. Carbon fiber was not on my list for cost and stability. The aluminum seemed to be what I was looking for. The Induro AT313 is the second largest they have(413 being the largest) but wasn't grossly overweight. It is quite large, more than enough for my camera and the lenses I have, 70-300 being the longest. I am 5'8 and this is plenty tall enough for me. I would say good for up to people 6' or so as well. I put the Giottos 3300 ball head on it and with the battery grip, I do not have to extend the 3rd legs...much more stable and just what I wanted. It is very tightly made and does not move around at the joints. I bought the short column to go with it for lower shoots but haven't needed it yet. The leg diameter is 32mm and I thought might not be thick enough to look good with the ball head but I was wrong. The 413 is a whopping 36mm! Very large. I am enjoying this tripod and plan to get a smaller version for hiking...this is not the one for that. Although it comes with the nicest carrying bag/ tool kit I've seen, it still weighs too much for long distance treks. This came very nicely packaged and wrapped by BH Photo and arrived on time! I plan to make a quick YouTube video soon to show more. There are not any for this particular size.

Comments about Induro Alloy 8M AT313 Tripod:

This unit is very sturdy, but that also means (in this case), that it is a bit heavier than normal. I've been shooting with an old velbon tripod, about 20 years old, and it was pretty light weight as compared to this Induro. But, this Induro goes up to about 7 ft and down to about 10 inches, and thats what I was looking for. A well built, sturdy tri pod that extends high and also gets in low for good fore ground shots. I'm happy with this one. The extra weight could be a factor during long hikes.

The tripod represents a well-balanced set of trade-offs for me. The weight/cost trade-off over a CF tripod works well for me for the uses I intend.

The tripod is sturdy, and I have no issues nor complaints. I very much like the height.

I am a landscape photographer and am currently focusing on some time lapse photography. I needed a sturdy tripod to support my slider and dolly. It was love at first sight when I pulled this puppy out of the box. For the price, I don't think you can find similar quality. Solid, functional, and just plain awesome. Foam grips on all three legs are a bonus; the carrying bag is a bonus, and the tool kit with tripod leg spikes is a bonus. This is some nice equipment and some nice accessories to go along with it.

I recently used this tripod to shoot a music video and this thing is solid. Comes with a nice case and a tool pouch with the screw in leg spikes included. I am six foot tall and this tripod is about even with my eyes before raising the center column. I'm glad I purchased this and would do it again.

Comments about Induro Alloy 8M AT313 Tripod:

I have used this a few times in the field since buying it. I matched it with an Induro BHL3 head. The legs have the look and feel of quality, as I expected after doing considerable research before buying. I opted for alloy over carbon because I did not consider the weight difference to be significant. These legs are very sturdy, not too heavy and very smooth and easy to use. I am used to flip locks, so it took a while to become accustomed to the twist locks, but they are the best twist locks I have used and, yes it takes only 1/4 turn to lock or unlock them. There is a level on the spider as well as an accessory hook which I found particularly convenient. The case that comes with the legs is actually quite nice and could come in handy when travelling. Also included are a tool kit and spiked feet.
I am very satisfied with this purchase and I highly recommend Induro products.
