I am an amateur photographer, and I have had varied experiences with camera equipment in the high school photography class I am taking. Among these experiences was the total failure of a bulky and heavy Sony tripod. Because of that experience, I was initially wary of any similar products, especially tripods without center column braces. This tripod is one of those. The AKB-1, however, blew me away. It is light, sturdy, and has an excellent range of simple and easy to use movements and controls. The included carrying case makes it portable, and it is a must have accessory for any and every SLR. For the money, you get a tripod that easily could cost (and would be worth) three times more. I strongly recommend this tripos.

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB1 Tripod Kit:

I just received this tripod today and I haven't had much time to properly test it in the field, but as soon as i got it out of the box I saw the word "quality" written all over it. It is light weight but VERY stable fully extended, also the perfect size for me (I am 5' 11") Feels solid and looks beautiful/well made. The head is smooth and simple to operate. The mounting plate is metal (not plastic) and the right size (not too big, not too small), sticks to the tripod socket in the camera without having to tighten it too much. I didn't need to read the manual to figure everything out. It comes with a carrying case, shoulder strap, and tools. Not compact but I would take it to backpacking trips. I highly recommend this tripod.

This tripod has everything, and at half the cost of others I looked at. I've taken it out 5 times now and it's adjustability astound me. Unlevel rocky surfaces are no challenge. Switching the column make low river shots simple. All very durable material and the free case helps me take care of it.

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB1 Tripod Kit:

Despite the weight of the tripod it is very sturdy and has a nice strong constuction for the price. It has no problem holding a D800 with a 70-200mm lens.

It has a nice quick disconnect and removable head so you can upgrade. I would not recommend the stock head for any video work being that the head is not made for video shooting. Unfolds very quickly as well.

Came with a nice over-the-shoulder carry case for easy traveling.

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB1 Tripod Kit:

Perfect for a smaller camera. Too small and light for a pro level DSLR or a camera with a long telephoto lens. Like the leg locks. If there is anything to be dissatisfied with, it's the single lever on the ball head that controls both tilt and pivot. It would be better to have separate controls for each.

This savy piece of equipment does all but take the picture for you. I had to pay someone $5 to tell me how to work it because I don't have spatial skills--and basically you turn the reversible center column upside down and that allows you to put your camera where it can see you and your pet (a nice doggie)to get a ground level shot--one that would allow you to win a grand prize in a photo contest. A thousand bucks for writing this review would take me on a photo expedition where I could plant my Adventure Tripod and take more cool photos of sanddunes or wildflowers. This tripod is sure to cheer up any depressed or heartbroken individual. And it doesn't require paying a therapist--only the price of the tripod. Pay cash.

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB1 Tripod Kit:

Good tripod overall and decent price. I use this tripod for photo shoots, night photography and various projects and it has been working pretty good. However, as I see myself shooting more and more video, I now wish I had purchased a tripod with a panning and tilting head.

NOTE- this tripod does not pan or tilt. The only way to do pan or tilt with this tripod is to loosen the top part of the head and physically move the camera. Not a terrible way but footage won't be that smooth unless done meticulously (of course I am only talking about it in the case of shooting video).

I knew this when I bought the tripod and it was only later in my jobs that I understood the necessity for a panning shot. Now I just have to look for a good head to pan with good tripod :)

With technology growing everyday, many people not only shoot photos but also shoot video. So though Panning isn't a big issue in photography it's might be more than likely to be used in video. Just an FYI

It's very light and sturdy and that's what you need with other heavy equipment. I also think the price is right.

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB1 Tripod Kit:

Simply put, the Adventure AKB1 is an amazing tripod for a prosumer or budding profession photographer. Lightweight, durable and easy-to-deploy, this is a great tripod for both indoor and outdoor photography. The legs can deployed in the standard configuration, or, with the pull of a tab, lowered almost flat to the ground. In either mode, the tripod can support quite a load - I usually mount a Canon 60D w/ grip, a Canon Speedlite 580 EX II flash and a Sigma 150-500mm lens on the tripod without any issue.

I love the quick-action ball head, but I would recommend a different head if you're looking to do more panning shots.

As an added bonus, the package comes with a fantastic carry bag that can fit a monopod at the same time as the tripod.

                                Overall, highly recommended!

I love to shoot waterfalls, so I need a tripod to shoot at long exposures. I friend who knew my needs (and also my budget) suggested a few tripods in my price range to consider. I decided on the enduro based mainly on good reviews by other users. IT is sturdy, easy to use and light enough for this gal to lug around 5 miles into the woods for that "perfect shot"

nice tripod, it's very light weight which is great for carrying but makes it less stable then a heavy tripod, I will probably have to add a weight bag when shooting in strong wind.
ball head locks really well, I was afraid it would creep but its holding up well<

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB1 Tripod Kit:

Great tripod and ballhead for the price. I've been using this tripod for over a year now with a Canon 7D and various lenses going up to 70-200 f/4L IS. My only "complaint," if you wanted to even call it that, would be that the screw on the quick release plate loosens on occasion after heave portrait use (opposed to landscape use). It's been a very solid kit to start off with if you're in the market for a solid tripod but don't want to spend a whole lot. The center column can be inverted for lower shots and I love that the legs can be set at different angles to allow for unusual or uneven surface set up.

Comments about Induro Adventure AKB1 Tripod Kit:

I've been making photos for two years, but not until now I found myself in need of a tripod to hold my camera while doing bulb exposures. I do photography 65% for fun so when I come to buy new gear I want them to be keepers and this tripod as in now it's a keeper.

To make it easy on you, if this tripod was a camera it would be a canon 7d or a nikon d300, it is nicely build, you will not regret buying it, and if you know how to use it you wouldn't needing a new tripod. One thing that i love about it is that the legs only have two extension making easier to put together. Also full extended the height is about 6 to 7 feet tall. The kit it is indeed lite.

The only thing that isn't that great is the ball head, again to make it easy the ball head is like your 18-55 kit lens, it just let you use the camera in this case this ball head just let you use the tripod. Don't get me wrong this ball head is good enough it just not what I wanted, I wanted a ball head with a panning feature and this one doesn't it.

This is a great buy it is a great investment, so save yourself some money and buy this kit and when you reach its limitation then buy a new tripod head.

Build quality is excellent and really challenges the need for a Gitzo carbon job. The included ball head is great and I will be replacing the smaller ball head I use on my Induro monopod with this same model. This tripod is fast to setup and tear down, sure footed and the bag is a nice touch that I didn't know I would care about until I had it.

It's very lightweight and compact, I have not used it outdoors however, in studio it has been great :D
