I bought this to be able to power two devices, one was a transmitter that needed 5V, and the other was a converter that needed 12V. The converter worked fine, but the transmitter didn't. The 5V port is limited to about 1A. My device needed more current so it wouldn't work.
The 5V port does not supply enough juice to power anything needing more than 1A. It does not power an iPad.
But if you need juice for any device like an iPhone or any other smart phone, some netbooks maybe some laptops, then this will work for you. There's a huge selection of jacks provided. If you don't have one that works, they'll send one out to you for free, for life. But I didn't try it.

This powered my 11-inch MacBook Air for four and a half hours of editing Word documents, with good low power settings (keyboard light off, display brightness fairly low, wifi off, etc.) Add that to the 5+ hours I get with the internal battery, and I can work through a long flight easily. Amazing given the unit's small size. USB port for my iPhone will be useful on camping trips.

I bought this Power Pack because the Nook Color only has about 8 to 10 hours of juice. I wanted a quick charger for when I was flying or away from a usb outlet. The problem is that it doesn't really charge the Nook. It does keep the Nook working; but you have to keep it plugged into the Nook and then you have a Nook in your hand and the Charger in your lap and wires connecting them. It does keep my Netbook working for about 3 hours which is great and it does re-charge itself to full power within a very short time of plugging it in. I haven't had to order any other free tips [...] because they do supply a lot of them and you can jury-rig them up to fit just about any computer or device. I would have given it a better rating except for my failed expectation that it would actually charge my Nook quickly.

I bought this to keep my battery slaughtering phone form draining its battery while making heavy use of the maps while on vacation. It is nice to be able to plug my phone in while having a bite to eat to give a little extra juice before heading back out.
It is a little heavy to pocket, so i recommend having some sort of bag to carry it in. The connectors seem to have an odd choice of arrangement.
Overall, a good device. Haven't tried it with a laptop yet. I just use it to charge phones.

It's very pleasant to tell that all things from the specs of the manufacture are true instead one. When i got it the battery wasn't pre-charged. Very good quality of construction. There are many tips and cables almost for all events of life right in the box. Very good support. Register the product and get any two free tips more. I tried to charge Samsung Omnia II via USB, laptop Acer Aspire 1825ptz (11,6") and many other things. And I didn't find any problem. Now I can't understand how I've been leaving without such external charger before. So, Energizer is worthy. Give me one more, please:-)
