Zacuto's Z-FRM Mounting Frame is a snap-fit frame that uses a double-sided adhesive to attach to your LCD screen. Additional frames allow you to attach your Z-Finder to multiple cameras, simply snapping it on and off each LCD screen as needed.

Comments about Zacuto Z-FRM Mounting Frame for Z-Finder:
Rated four stars because it definitely works, but I will say the fact you need to mound it directly to your camera is a bit scary.
Way cheaper than the gorilla plate mounting option
though!

Comments about Zacuto Z-FRM Mounting Frame for Z-Finder:
I originally purchased the screw on mount for the Z-Finder, but when I purchased a Nikon D5100 w/ articulating LCD screen, I decided to purchase this accessory. I mounted it easily and it has stood up well on demanding video shoots where I'm taking in on and off a lot. Great product!

Comments about Zacuto Z-FRM Mounting Frame for Z-Finder:
I bought this in January... it's now June. It's still attached to my camera after attaching and removing my z-finder many many times. That's pretty much all I can ask of this accessory and it has performed perfectly. It's great to not have to mount the gorilla plate if you're not using any of the other zacuto gear.

Comments about Zacuto Z-FRM Mounting Frame for Z-Finder:
Don't want to use the gorilla plate included with my Z-Finder Pro 2.5x on my Nikon D7000s so I gout a couple of these instead. Applied as per the instructions it works well.
Depending on your anatomy you may encounter an issue when using the optical viewfinder. In my case the frame makes it a little difficult for me to get my eye up tight to the viewfinder to eliminate light leaks. It also requires me to change the position of my right thumb on the multi selector dial on the back of the camera (had I known this in advance a quick touch with the Dremel would have fixed it). I'd also like a clear screen cover to mount to the frame to protect the LCD when the viewfinder is not mounted.
On the whole though it's a great mounting solution and of far more utility than the bulky gorilla plate supplied with the viewfinder

Replaces the Gorilla Plate. This really works and eliminates the need for the bulky Gorilla Plate. Follow the directions and it should stay in place for a long time.

I ended up ordering another one of these for my 7d when the original fell off. As long as you install it correctly, it works great. Always a good idea to have a few backups, over time heat and pulling the z-finder on and off will cause it to lose its stick.

Works as advertised. I attached it and let it sit under a weight for 24 hours as per the instructions, and it works great with the z-finder.

I find better to use the mounting frame than the mounting system that zacuto sends with the Z-finder. This way Im not adding extra bottom plate under my camera.

Comments about Zacuto Z-FRM Mounting Frame for Z-Finder:
I only purchased one, and it ended up not sticking. The entire thing would pop off with the Z-Finder. I contacted Zacuto and they are replacing it free of charge. Great customer service.
T3i owners be wary. The weight of the Z-finder will constantly disloge the screen, giving it a loose feeling. The Z-Bands may be a necessity.
A good cheap alternative for those who can not afford the full Gorilla Plate system.

I really dislike the new mounting system that the z-finders now come with. I've used it and it always comes loose. So these mouting frames really help.

Comments about Zacuto Z-FRM Mounting Frame for Z-Finder:
If you use the Z-Finder, the frame that comes with it is very sturdy, but heavy. It also has several screws and such that make it a little rough on camera cases, etc. The Z-frame is much lighter than the universal bracket so it's easier to handle the camera without much extra weight.
Great if you want to use the Z-finder on several cameras.
Beware, it will not survive being removed.

Comments about Zacuto Z-FRM Mounting Frame for Z-Finder:
Cheap way to allow the use of the Z-Finder Pro on multiple cameras. We have the Zacuto Z-Finder Gorilla plate on one camera, and this mounting frame on a second camera, allowing for easy transfer from one body to another. time will tell whether the glue on the frame is any good. One issue I see is the use of this mounting frame on top of a screen protector. I am using a screen protector that comes with the Snug-It. the screen protector sticks on the screen. Dunno if this Z-finder mounting frame will cause the screen protector to peel off. If this happens with the Z-finder mounted on the camera this could lead to the Z-finder falling off of the camera and onto the ground, which could result in destruction of the Z-finder. It wouldn't be the fault of the mounting frame. So just a word of caution.

Allows you to use the Z-Finder on multiple cameras cheaply. Not sure how long the glue will stay attached, but way cheaper than buying extra Gorilla plates and frames.

Comments about Zacuto Z-FRM Mounting Frame for Z-Finder:
I replaced my Canon T2i with a 60D. I was afraid I was not going to be able to use my Zacuto Z-Finder because of the 60D's flip-out viewfinder. Well, it does work! The only drawback is is that once you add the mounting frame you cannot flip the viewfinder back into the camera. I did not care though as the Z-finder is a must for my DSLR Video outfit.

This is a must have for people with aftermarket battery grips. Since most of people use them this is perfect. Also with owning only one view finder I can swap it to all my cameras for cheap.

The Z-Finder Jr. Mounting Bracket is a pain to take on and off. This, I think, is a better option. Cures overnight and is strong and allows me to pop my Z-Finder on and off my camera much quicker.

I got the 5D MKII with the battery grip, and it was either this or the [$] frame. I figure this will do the job just fine. Very good price. Might be an annoyance when I am taking photos instead of filming.

Comments about Zacuto Z-FRM Mounting Frame for Z-Finder:
I followed the instructions to the letter and it mounted great. Early versions that I saw were a mess, but this adhesive system works great and the Zfinder comes on and off very easily, without pulling off the mounting frame. I had the additional mounting bracket plate and found that it took up too much space.
