Comments about Iogear 4-Port DVI KVMP Switch with Cables:
This is my second IOGear 4-Port DVI KVMP. I love this thing. I have them hooked up to a few Mac Pros, Mac Minis and z820s. They are easy to set up. Switching between computers is fast and stupidly easy.

I use my KVM to link 3 Mac minis and it works beautifully. It's small and very easy to use and hook up.

Comments about Iogear 4-Port DVI KVMP Switch with Cables:
This KVM is used to control 3 PCs and 1 MAC. Setup was easy using the manual, which was detailed. The most amazing (and unexpected) feature is the ability to switch the KVM to one source and have the audio play out of another. On the multiple monitor setup we have we can watch and listen to TV or music one one PC and work on any of the other 3.
The keyboard shortcuts that allow this took a day or two to remember but now are instinctive. We are very pleased with this KVM, which is an upgrade to an older rack mount PS2 type switch.
The lighted control buttons on the front panel indicating what has been selected is a plus.

Works great. Easy to set up and use. The only thing I noticed is that to get audio to follow you need to push the select button twice. The first push gives you picture, keyboard and mouse, the second push gives you sound.

Comments about Iogear 4-Port DVI KVMP Switch with Cables:
Switches computers fairly fast, including auxiliary USB. No obvious snags. I use a Macintosh keyboard and everything works as expected except the eject key, which is not important to me. Switching among Mac, Windows and Linux without a hitch. Solidly built and heavy. Both front and rear aux USB, which is nice. Also, if you turn off or suspend a computer it will automatically seek out the next one that's running (or do nothing if that was the last one closed). Can configure and operate from a wired Mac keyboard also (I don't have any Bluetooth and there are warnings regarding that approach). I was, however, not able to get it to work with VGA using any of the adapters I have. Don't count on mixing VGA and DVI therefore.

Comments about Iogear 4-Port DVI KVMP Switch with Cables:
I had to upgrade my KVM when I upgraded my monitor, since My Dr. Bott KVM had VGA connections. This switch does more, and does everything very well. The supplied cables include an audio connector, so I can use my speakers with all four connected computers. Switching is fast and works perfectly. My only complaint is that some of the non-basic mouse functions do not work. So I keep a no-frills mouse plugged into the KVM, and have my Contour Design and Kensington mice attached directly to their respective computers.

Comments about Iogear 4-Port DVI KVMP Switch with Cables:
I had to upgrade to a KVM with DVI ports when I upgraded my monitor. I had been using a Dr. Bott VGA/USB switch that was very basic, but extremely reliable. This IOGear unit seemed like the best fit, and in fact, it has been a pleasure to use. It is easy to set up, and in some ways is even simpler and more idiot-proof than the Dr. Bott. Switching between the four attached Macs always works perfectly. In addition, they can all share my SoundWorks speakers now, thanks to the audio ports on the KVM. The cables seem to be of very good quality. In 14 months of use, I have encountered no significant problems.
The only glitch I have encountered is that certain mice don't play well with it: the basic mouse functions will work, but more advanced settings in the mouse software don't work through the switch. This may be a problem with the mouse software; in any case, although it would be nice to share a single mouse, it isn't a big deal for me. I keep a basic Apple mouse attached to the KVM to use with the machines that aren't used often, and keep my Kensington and Contour Design mice attached to their respective computers.

Comments about Iogear 4-Port DVI KVMP Switch with Cables:
I have had this switch for a little over a month, and so far so good. I would give it 5 stars, but there are a couple of things that I think they could have done better. One the cables could be longer, and two the video cable could have been a DVI-I to accomodate those that still have a PC with VGA output. I think the switch is made well, and so far works with my PC, Mac, and Laptop docking station without issue.

I use this product to swap my USB keyboard, mouse, sound system, printers and digital HD monitor between 3 computer systems (it can handle 4 systems - allowing me to occassionally connect my portable when I need to).
I have owned three previous models and this is the smartest and best KVMP that I have owned.

This is a nice KVM switch. Comes with all the required cables, easy to install, and is working well with both Mac and PC. The only thing I don't like is that you can't use the keyboard hot key switching if your keyboard is plugged into the generic USB port instead of the keyboard-specific one.

I switch between a Window 7, Windows XP, and Mac computer with no problems. Once I turned off the mouse emulation I was able to use MS Sidewinder. No problems with wired or wireless keyboard/mouse.

Comments about Iogear 4-Port DVI KVMP Switch with Cables:
This is my third IOGEAR KVM (I started with a more basic 4-port unit several years ago, and have upgraded twice as my PC configurations have changed). I bought this one principally for the DVI monitor support; one added bonus is that the volume softkeys on my keyboard work with this model where they didn't with an older one. I haven't made use of the two shared USB ports, but everything else works great.
My only caveat is that the provided cables don't have a lot of separation between the monitor and USB connections (the main body of the cable is a single line that splits into the component plugs at each end). The cables are also pretty stiff, so for one of my PCs the USB plug was being tugged on and the connection would sometimes drop. I worked around this by adding a 6-inch USB extension, and everything is fine now. The cable is probably good for most PCs, and only affected one of the units in my set-up.

Comments about Iogear 4-Port DVI KVMP Switch with Cables:
This KVM switch works great you can switch just the CPU and leave your peripherals like your printer and other USB items still plugged in to finish there task and then bring over the USB plug ins later. There are only 2 USB ports in addtion to the 2 USB ports for your mouse and keyboard. I just plugged a 4 port hub into the back port and now have 5. It works great.

Comments about Iogear 4-Port DVI KVMP Switch with Cables:
The switch is very easy to use and does everything I want and need. With the only setup being to connect your monitor, keyboard and mouse, along with the computers you want to connect with. I would recommend this switch to anyone needing a KVM switch that handles DVI along with audio from all computers.

Comments about Iogear 4-Port DVI KVMP Switch with Cables:
So I use a USB razer mouse and logitech G15 keyboard. I have 2 Macs and a PC and wanted share the monitor and keyboard with them all. Finding something reliable is a challenge for certain. I picked this one based on other reviews and I am glad that I did. I ran into to a quirk, however. When I use the mouse & keyboard ports correctly, the razer and logitech software don't see the usb devices as belonging to them. This can be fixed by plugging them directly into the shared USB ports. However, doing that will prevent the use of the keyboard to command the switch.
