Comments about Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player:
This is one very handy product to have around, especially if you own a retail store and need a way to showcase your videos on a 1080p monitor, without buying another computer or a Blu-ray disc player. Simply put all of your contents on a USB stick or flash drive, pop it into the WD TV player, and voila! This media player will play just about anything you throw at it, any format, any resolution. Full HD connectivity via the built-in HDMI output jack, so the videos look fantastic when you play them on your 1080p monitor. It's also very convenient for viewing your multimedia files from your PC to your HDTV without having to convert files and without losing any quality. For less than $100, you simply can't go wrong with a WDTV box. Highly recommended!

Comments about Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player:
I like this MP but the software in it has its shortcoming:
1. should give more sort options
2. wont display thumbnails of the videos, though it is an option, it just wont do it.
3. the skip function is only in 10minute intervals rather than an interval related to the size of the video. IE if I have a 9 minute video and I want to skip to the middle, I cant, it will skip the whole vid
4. Only FF to 16fps, i'm used to 32 with most DVD players and *gasp 120 on my Xbox
5. Playback can be laggy at times
FYI: I use mine to play .wmv files I download from the internet(s) :)
Oh and the remote that comes with it is too small for a man's hand
Aside from the software however, it works just fine.

Comments about Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player:
I use almost every day, I use it in my living room and since its so easy to take from one place to the other, I like to even lend it out.
Small, plays almost every format video out there, almost 95%, clear HD1080
It takes any drive.
Some MKV videos can't hear them, waiting on WD firmware update.

Comments about Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player:
It works fine, plays pics and music at the same time. .avi videos play also. However, the unit is mindnumbingly SLOW !!! You may just want to spend 200$ and buy a netbook instead, more useful.
