Comments about Meade LT-6 ACF Telescope:
I live in north Alabama where we have a significant amount of humidity in the air except for a handful of nights each year. I bought my LT-6 because I'm an experienced amateur astronomer and know that in this part of the country its a waste of money to go for larger apertures. This is an outstanding scope for my needs. Highly recommended. BTW - I used it the other day to study fungus growing on moss on a tree 200 hundred yards from my back yard. It smokes my Nikon ED spotting scope even for terrestrial. If you live out west, get the eight inch scope. But for down here where there's significant humidity most of the time the six is perfect. The light weight is more significant than a larger aperture. It is what it is. Don't even both trying deep sky in Florida. I lived there for a while but had to leave when I saw this blob that was barely recognizable as Saturn through my excellent ETX-90 scope.
