Miller's Solo DV 3-Stage 75mm Carbon Fiber Tripod is a versatile and affordable option for cinematographers on the go. Its small, 26" packing size and light weight (6.6 lbs) make it convenient for travel, and yet it opens up to 73.6" to become one of the tallest tripods with a 75mm bowl. Using advanced carbon fiber tubing to provide ultra light, rock solid stability, the Solo sets up quickly and securely, going as low as 8.7" without the need for baby legs, hi-hat or spreaders. Quick leveling and easy stabilization combine with optimum torsional rigidity for long term durability.

Comments about Miller Solo DV 3-Stage 75mm Carbon Fiber Tripod:
This tripod was definitely larger than I expected it to be, but that wasn't a bad thing. I mostly shoot with DSLR rigs and every shoot throws in different combinations of accessories. Luckily this Tripod can handle all of them. From long lenses, to bulky sound equipment, and even pocket dollies, I haven't been able to find anything that this tripod can't handle.
The Solo DV also extends to an incredible height, taller than I can even handle without a step ladder (and I'm 5'10"!) The sturdiness is also great, considering other carbon fiber legs I've used don't even compare.
Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone that doesn't want the clumsiness of a large traditional film tripod or anyone that wants to step up from a smaller tripod. Great for DSLRs and similar sized kits.

Comments about Miller Solo DV 3-Stage 75mm Carbon Fiber Tripod:
I use it for commercial video production. I use it in combo with a Manfrotto video head and it works great. Worth all the money you pay for it. It is light but very sturdy. Legs can fold out to go very low also. I even run a small video slider with these legs and it works great for that too.
