im using this adapter with my old mannual focus lenses and it works great. I'm so happy because i recovered all my old lenses and old accesories. Also you must know that with this adapter in my canon eos rebel t2i the spot meter works. I test it with a nikon autofocus lenses but the view is not good because you can't control the diaf. on them.

The Bower, EOS body to NIKON lens adapter is about the worst thing I have ever bought. I was in a rush the day I bought the Bower version so I made the mistake of not checking it before leaving the store. In the past I have successfully used other adapters with my lenses that are sold at half the price of the Bower, so I assumed that an adapter sold at double the price of the ones I had used would be as good if not better. BIG MISTAKE… when checking my equipment pre-Gig I discovered that I could not get any of my lenses onto the adapter. I had to shoot the gig with the kit lens, loosing about 2 F stops that I could have played with, not to mention the glass… I brought the Bower adapter back to B&H to check whether the item I bought was defective or whether there was a special technique for putting this adapter on the lens. It turns out there was not one Bower adapter in the store that fitted a Nikon lens. Needless to say, the product is returned...QC...QC...QC

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
PERFECT fit between my Canon 7D and my 85mm f/1.8D and 24-85mm f/2.8-4.0D Nikkor lenses. Great quality and easy to attatch and detatch even without instruction. First, you have to attatch it to the lens, then mount it to camera body. If you want to remove the adapter from lens, push the locking pin and turn it. It is pretty easy. If you want quality adapter, get one from B&H.

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
After trying another brand (at the same price point)and finding tolerances too tight for my older Nikon glass, I was DELIGHTED to find the Bower adaptor a PERFECT mate between my Canon 60D and my 55mm, 135mm, and 300mm Nikkor lenses from 1973-4. Solid manufacuring and fit. Thanks to the B&H rep who recommended the Bower from personal experience.

I use it to attach my old 50 mm nikon lens to my t2i and it works perfectly. It is easy to remove and easy to figure out even without instructions. A great buy considering how much it costs.

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
I prefer to use 35mm still lenses on my 5D to the Cannon ones. I noticed that there was a huge difference in price between this Adapter and ones by other brands. This adapter doesn't fit onto the lens unless you use a lot of force the manufacturing is not precise enough and there are imperfection in the Nikon side. After finally getting the lens in by putting the adapter in the camera first and then attaching the lens for extra force, I am not able to get it off the lens now. So now I have to buy multiple ones for each of my lenses which isn't really the end of the world, but as a student its a pain.

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
I was able to use my wonderful 17-35 f2.8 on my canon when doing some architectural work. I don't often need such a wide angle since I primarily shoot fashion so I was glam not to have to run out and spend $2000 on a new lens that would hardly get used.
My one con is that it is a little bit difficult to unattached- but I am planning to use it on one lens only so it is no big deal for me.

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
I am a Canon DSLR user, though I have many beautifully sharp and fast Nikkor Ai lenses, which I occasionally use with my old Nikon F series cameras. However, as I spend more and more time with my digital camera, this adapter was purchased as a great way to keep using some of that top-end glass.
Pros:
-Simple, light design
-No extra glass
-Super affordable
-Fun way to keep using great lenses (even on your Canon)
Cons:
-Focus accuracy difficult without changing focus screens (not the adapters fault)
-Difficult adapter release mechanism
-Be careful mounting some lenses as some designs (my 35mm 1.4) have deep metal tabs that will damage your camera.
Bottom line is that this adapter is fun to use when you have the time or can afford to miss the shot. Remember focus is not fast like a split fresnel screen! For live view or video shooters this adapter is pure gold!

Even though it was a but difficult to attach (there are no directions), it was a great buy and a must have for any Nikkor to Canon connection.

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
Purchased to enable the use of an older Nikkor lens that I had. It's really worked out well. I've noticed the 'loose'ness that others have brought up, but at least in my case it's very very minor...maybe around 1/32". It doesn't effect the lens use at all. Very happy to have this as a solution.

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
Seems lightly built, almost flimsy, particularly compared to my Cinevate. Came with no instructions. Fit the back of the Nikon lens OK, but when attached to the EOS, it would rotate back and forth. Total range of motion was about 1/8 inch about. I sent it back. I'll have two more Cinevate's on order soon as B&H processes my refund.

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
Use them with my zeiss prime nikon mount lenses on my canon 5dmark 2.
I just got two for my lenses, I had another brand before, worked great but was kinda loose. Those one fits stiffly, it makes it great specially when you rack focus, it doesn't wiggle. However they're petty hard to remove, so if you get them better have one for each lenses and not take them out to often. It might be time consuming.
I guess it's the trade off, tighter but harder to get off. I also heard that on some old nikon lenses it was almost impossible to take off. So beware.
They look great and work great.

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
I own this adapter as well as the one made by Cinevate which is roughly the same price. This adapter is definitely the better of the two. While the cinevate mount appears more robust at first, the Bower stacks up nicely and is much easier to use. The main advantage, however (the reason I bought this one as well) is that this adapter works perfectly with Non-AI lenses, whereas other adapters prohibit the aperture ring on these lenses from working properly. I keep this adapter on my non-AI lenses and use the cinevate for the others. I highly HIGHLY recommend this adapter to anyone who (like me) started out on Nikon analog cameras and switched to Canon for digital (a wise choice!). Now I carry 6 nikkor lenses in my bag in addition to my 5 canon lenses, and most of the time I keep my mid 60s Nikkor-S 50 1.4 mounted to my 5D. Lenses are a bit hard to focus through the tiny viewfinder with no split image, but different focusing screens are available in most cases and live view and a Zacuto Finder is a very workable setup. Save youself the thousands of dollars you will spend on quality new canon glass and spend [$] on this adapter to use the fantastic Nikkor lenses you already have!

I am a professional photographer and a videographer, I have 5 Nikon lenses and a 5d mark II. The adapter works great it's easy to fix on the lens and easy to mount from a lens to the other. The only thing is that it has to be used in manual and since i always shott in manual i had no problem. I recommend this to amateurs and pros!

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
I bought the adapter to mount a EOS body on a Nikon Fieldscope fitted with a Nikon FSA L1 digiscoping lens. Thus, the body will be mounted and removed, and the adapter will stay in place on the FSA-L1.
The adapter has a nice snug fit on both items, and the body is removed in the normal manner.
Don't know what else the expensive item would do, but I'm quite happy with this adapter.

There was play back and forth when pulling focus. I was trying these out because it was a lot cheaper than the Novoflex. I would go with the Novoflex! You get what you pay for!

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
What a great idea. I'm really glad I can use the Nikon lenses I bought back in my film use days on my new Canon camera. The adapter feels well build. I can also use my Canon light readings with the Nikon lens. Not so with the NIkon D5100 I was considering. I only put the adapter on and off once, but I agree with another reviewer. Because it's not as easy to get off, I would buy one for each of the two Nikon lenses I plan to use.

The adapter works great for the money paid. It's solid and the lens fits snug into it and doesn't wobble. Great purchase if you need to adapt Nikon lenses to a Canon EOS body.

Comments about Bower ABEOSN Lens Adapter:
I love the idea of using my 7d Canon body with crisp nikkor lenses to film all of my commercial and personal projects with the necessary PL mount (which happens to be an ABEOSN Bower Lens Adapter) It is thus far very sturdy, where I feel very comfortable with having a 600mm lens hanging off the front of my camera body (of course to mount on a tripod) if need be. I do like to switch lenses frequently, and the only thing that would stumble my flow, is the safety locking mechanism which prevents me from strictly removing the lense. This is probably the best solution for any adapter, safety wise, though I would love to see a rapid release adapter in the future.
