I am a musician/music lover who wishes to get the most out of my LPs. I am in the early stages of stereo-equipment acquisition, so I was looking for a table with digital-output so that I can run it through my computer until I am able to buy a proper stereo. This table seems to knock the socks off of anything else with digital output in the price range. Pro features such as direct-drive, magnetic cartridge and s-shaped tonearm ensure that I get great sounding playback with minimal wear on my records. I have little to no use for the dj features such as reverse playback, and extreme pitch shifting. I do not have much interest in recording to digital, because digital is for losers.
Bottom line: this is a great sounding table at a very reasonable price for the non-audiophile.

I love these turntables. They're cheap but that doesnt mean that they dont deliver. They have great sound quality and are an easy set up. I use they to dj and they work fantastic with my vinyl and my control vinyl. Overall, this is a great product and doy waste your money on anything more than these.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT-LP120USB Direct Drive Professional DJ Turntable with USB Output:
I've been looking for a direct drive turntable that will interface with my computer AND play 78s. When I saw the AT-LP120USB, it sealed the deal. It bears a very strong resemblance to the Technics SL-1200MK2; in fact, the control placement is the same, not counting the additional buttons found on the A-T. Pitch is spot on; the ability to adjust up to 20% high or low provides lots of latitude. The reverse feature piqued my curiosity. I haven't tried it mainly because I'm not sure if the stylus will suffer, let alone the record. I replaced the flimsy platter mat with the same one used on the Technics SL1200. If it weren't for the fact that the strobe dots on the platter are different from the ones on the SL1200's platter, I would have put one of those on, too. I also put on a Shure N97xE cartridge and bought a Shure M78S for my 78s. The built-in preamp is great for connecting to my PC's sound card. I also plan to hook it to my stereo in the living room when I'm not transferring records. Since the receiver has phono jacks, I'll bypass the preamp.
I don't plan to use the included software; I already have Magix software, which I love, and will continue to use it.
Perhaps the only downer I can speak of is the platter is not as precisely cast as the one on the Technics SL1200. It becomes readily apparent at 78 RPM. Not enough to cause any major problems, but just something you tend to notice. The fact that this is a manual turntable doesn't bother me one bit.
It's a steal for its price and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable USB turntable, especially if you have 78s.

Wow! The speed is rock solid, the features are plentiful and quality is excellent, plus it includes a great sounding cartridge and built-in phono preamp. What's not to love about it, especially given the price. Audio Technica products have always proven to be among the best, and this turntable is no exception - that's saying a lot coming from a picky consumer like me.

I sometimes need to either speed the music up or slow it down and this product does both without wow or flutter. It is what it was represented to be and the quality is excellent for the price. It was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition. I would recommend this product to anyone who has need of a quality turntable with a USB connection.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT-LP120USB Direct Drive Professional DJ Turntable with USB Output:
Construction quality is very high. Unit is solid, heavy and has wide adjustable legs. Paid less for it than I did for my Sony PSLX350H a few years back and it outshines the Sony in every respect.
Unboxing and hook-up took less than 20 minutes, and I was listening to my favorite Linda Ronstadt LP's. Sound through my Yamaha multi-media receiver is great using the unit's built-in pre-amp.
A heavier platter, a rubber mat, a black or dark gray top plate, and an auto-return feature would have improved the product, but overall I have no complaints. Hats off to Audio Technica for bringing a great product to market at a reasonable price.
Finally a turntable worth investing in some 200 gram vinyl for - and priced within reason.

I bought this for my husband for Xmas this year. He is very picky with sound quality and classic design. He is so far very happy with it. He put it together easily and quickly and had no complaints when listening to records. Shipping was fast and a good price considering. Thank you I would shop here again.

Purchased a pair of these for DJing. Very happy with the quality and both working flawlessly. and for the price you can't beat the features and quality. The turntable is easy to set up and operate. Some assembly and tonearm calibration is required, but the instructions are crystal clear. The controls are easy to use. One major complaint, however, is that the audio cable is both too short and not removable/replaceable. Overall, this is the best turntable for the money!

I use this table for casual listening in the dining room. The table is nice and heavy, it's easy to set up and the supplied cartridge is decent. We enjoy the sound of vinyl and are working our way through our favorites.
Is it a Rega-P3? No. But you can certainly hear the difference between CDs and Vinyl with this table. We looked at vintage Dual, Tehniques, and Pioneer tables and ended up with teh LP120 as it sounded better and we felt that maintenance would be easier. You get a lot for the price.
The internal pre-amp and USB are not usable. I wish that they made a version of this without these as I prefer using the phone section in my integrated amp.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT-LP120USB Direct Drive Professional DJ Turntable with USB Output:
Read quite a few reviews on several products before buying this one. Was pleasantly surprised at the build quality - very heavy and solidly built, with good damping on legs. Small scratch mark on top of turntable, but I can live with that. Planning to convert LPs to digital but also have option to occasionally play LPs through my AV Receiver. Sound quality through stock cartridge is pretty good, although I get some motor noise and feedback if I play to loud (my subwoofer is on the floor close to the shelf where the turnable sits.) Have converted some LPs using the Audacity software ... bit of a laborious process (about 1 hour per LP all in all) but process works and quality is good enough for me.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT-LP120USB Direct Drive Professional DJ Turntable with USB Output:
My wife bought this turntable for my 60th birthday, so I could turn all my old vinyl into mp3 format for my i-pod. Great quality, never mind that it only cost just over $. Love the controls, the design and the performance. It's great that it comes with all sorts of wiring adaptors. I play it through a small set of powered Logitechs at the same time as recording the .au files as they sound better than my laptop's in-builts. One piece of advice.....the software disc with the Audacity conversion software has an older version, but it's easy to upgrade on-line to the 2.02 version. Take the time to go over the tutorials on the Audacity site, especially "Splitting a recording into separate tracks". The instructions included in the box for using the software are a bit too basic for my liking, but downloading manuals and tutorials is easy. I live in Weatern Canada and the guys at B&H shipped the turntable to me in 4 days in perfect condition.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT-LP120USB Direct Drive Professional DJ Turntable with USB Output:
Overall, I am pleased with this purchase. It performs as promised, and is a cost effective solution for someone looking for a well featured and more classic styled turntable, employing today's USB technology. I confess I don't use the USB interface - just the analogue output into a home theater amp that has a phono input. The phono leads are well shielded, as you can set the amp volume to maximum without hearing any hum. I eventually swapped the supplied cartridge for an Ortofon, though the A-T cartridge wasn't too bad.The supplied cartridge headshell is standard, so you can swap it for another spare, which can be useful for playing 78's. One downside: I did notice that the headshell and tonearm contacts are not gold plated, so this may explain some crackle and hum issues some people have reported. My previous Sony and Technics 70/80's vintage turntables were gold plated. So with this, you may want to remove and insert the headshell every so often to maintain a good connection. As for B&H, no issues. Ordered it Sunday night and it was at my door in Toronto on Wednesday, using basic shipping.

I use this product to digitize my album collection, a good number of which are not available on commercial CD. The turntable works great, easy to setup and operate. The recommended software leaves a lot to be desired: difficult to install, difficult to use (at least on a Mac).

This feels like a professional turntable at a fraction of the cost. The only drawback is that the tone arm doesn't automatically return.
