I bought this to take on a trip to Israel for use outdoors. I was truly amazed at the distance and clarity of the dot at a long distance outside in the sun. Great pointer.

This pointer works very well on a back lit screen and the dot is easily seen. You certainly can't miss it on a front lit screen or just about anything else for that matter.
Also purchased the Da-Lite presenter with green laser and it works on a back lit screen.
