I found that wind sounds like wind in the PCM-M10 recorder. There were no howling or rumbling sounds with the internal mics as can be created by some other mics. For outdoor nature recordings, I find that I don't use the wind screen. So try the recorder in your application prior to buying the wind screen. The recorder has an internal sound filter that may be all you need. The wind screen only works with this recorder and safe storage may be an issue for you. It should be stored fluffed up and not pressed flat.
