I used this laptop stand for the first time this past weekend for a session lasting approx. 3 hours. I was very impressed with the sturdiness and quality of the stand. It's easy to set up, and holds my laptop firmly and securely. The pull-out mouse pad is a little small, but it works just fine.

It certainly is solid, and doesn't wobble much as you type on it.
The problem is the top is warped - crowned like and upside-down bowl. My laptop just can't sit flat on it. That makes the stand almost useless. The packaging was in great shape, so this seems like a manufacturing problem. How hard is it to make a 10" square piece of steel flat?
The mouse tray is junk. It's only 5.25" on a side, with a 1/2" raised lip around the edge. My mouse is 5" long. Not much room to move...
This thing certainly can't hold a large laptop. Mine is 15" wide (actual width, not screen size). The little arms aren't wide enough to hold it from the sides. The only way I can hold the laptop is to use the mounting ares as stilts to hold up the laptop. One good bump and crash to the floor.
So it's a solid stand but very small and poorly made.

I had been searching for a support system for a sound module that would hold the module and the EWI (wind synth instrument) that I use in performance. I had been using a strong music stand but it did not support the instrument. My sound tech had the LPH-003 for his laptop and had set it up for me to use a couple weeks ago. The stand is more than adequate for my needs and I would recommend this usage to anyone searching for a similar situation.

I bought this for location shoots and haves really needed it for a while. It is rock solid yet not too heavy either. The only improvement I would like to see is a little better manner for the four small arms to hold the laptop in place on top of the stand. Regardless it works great & worth every dime and at a great price!

I use the stand to hold my laptop while playing keyboard. I have an Airturn Bluetooth page turner to complete the hands free music display.
VERY sturdy, VERY flexible. QuikLok rocks, which I've known for a while.
The only drawback is the arms holding up the laptop in front can irritate your wrists if you're doing much typing .. but that's not what the stand is for.

This is a heavy and heavy-duty laptop stand. It is well constructed of painted steel and comes with an adjustable tripod-style base that is also heavy-duty. The top (plate) component attaches to the base very easily and is angle-adjustable. The up-side is that it is very stout. The down-side is that it's very HEAVY. This product is best for studio shooting, or on-location shooting where there isn't much distance between your vehicle and the scene. Definitly NOT for hiking. There is also a pull-out utility tray mounted with a commercial-grade cabinet glide. Did I mention that it's heavy? In a good way.
I only wish there was a carrying bag included, or provided as a separate purchase. A tripod bag would hold the base, as it folds like a light-stand, but the tray would require a custom-sized bag.

I am using this on stage during performances. I was worried about something reliable that could endure a few bumps without taking my laptop to the floor. This stand is just the ticket! It is portable and stable. The only drawback is the mouse tray. It is held on by a couple of rivets. And when you close the tray is sticks out beyond the edge of computer table a few inches. Other than that I love it!

Nice sturdy laptop stand, securely holds my 17" laptop next to my printer without taking up a lot of space, Very easy to adjust. Very solid and stable stand. Good hardware for folding up and transporting.
Only downsides are the fact that the stand area itself is a bit too large for my MacBook Air so the 'braces' to support the laptop don't completely secure it. (Its built for bigger laptops).... But at the right angle, I think it'll still safely hold the laptop.
The mouse tray is a bit of a mystery, very small. Wish I could use it for something else as its nicely built in. Just so small for any practical use.

One day during a performance, I laid my laptop that I use for words/chord charts as well as all of my guitar effects and amps on top of a speaker on stage. It only took one song to rattle off and fall to the floor! That was enough to convince me that there had to be a better, more secure way to use it on stage - and this unit is the solution! Thankfully, the laptop was unharmed and today it sits atop this Quiklok LPH-003 as protection from gravity. The unit is very ruggedly built with enough weight to make it sturdy. The adjustments make it very convenient to use both seeing the computer and adjusting it on the fly during play. Yeah, I really liked the idea of just picking up my backpack and having the whole rig in there, but there is a great deal to say about the safety of the unit and being able to use it another day! This product has solved the problems for me - so much so that I even use it for practice around the house. It is an absolute no-brainer when the computer that it holds safely costs another $2K to replace. You can't go wrong with buying this!!!

This stand is extremely well constructed - perfect for laptops, small modules, etc. I'm using a netbook which is extremely small and it adjusts to fit perfectly. I've also tried it with larger modules, audio units, etc. and it works great.
I'm a lefty - and the mouse tray only slides out from the right side. I've turned the stand around and re-tilted it so the tray is on the left. But it's placed close to the top of the unit instead of the bottom which is really where a mouse tray should be.
Too bad they didn't make the tray moveable to the other side like many other similar products out there. If they had, I'd have given this 5 stars.
If you're a right-handed user - as most are - then consider this a 5-star product ;-)
