The days of bulky, large, complicated projectors are long behind us. Today, the beamers in the mainstream are easy-to-use, compact and quite small. Vivitek is one company which is creating a swarm of projectors to fit into any environment. The D530 Projector is an ultra-portable DLP projector that supports an amazing 3000:1 contrast ratio and shines bright at 3200 ANSI lumens for an impressively bright picture. With a 1024 x 768, the D530 delivers bright, superb digital images with full color saturation. Intended for high-impact multimedia presentations, the Vivitek D530 is unmatched in performance and function.
It includes a Kensington Lock as part of an anti-theft system, which is a small, metal-reinforced hole found on Vivitek video projectors. It is used for attaching a lock-and-cable apparatus, in particular those from Kensington. The D530 offers a 2W mono speaker system for clear, concise sound.
Other notable features include an HDMI input and the support of several menu languages like English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
Weighing in at only 4.2 pounds, the D530 is a true road warrior. Take it wherever you need to go, and you will not be bogged down by the device.

I had a cheap digital galaxy projector that I paid 220$ for and was shocked on how much this vivitek d350 blows it away for just over a 100$ more this projector is amazing for the price hi def image is super sharp and clear and really bright the sound coming from the projector is not really loud but doesnt really matter if you hook up surround sound the size of the projector is perfect not too big and is very easy to use you can also adjust picture many different ways

Comments about Vivitek D530 DLP Projector:
We use this projector to project the words to songs at our church. The resolution is great and the brightness is sufficient to show up without dimming the lights.

Comments about Vivitek D530 DLP Projector:
it is a good projector if you use it just with vga input. I bought it just because it has hdmi input but it has no use. if you use hdmi cable, u have to listen your movie or whatever u are watching with the projectors speakers and they are not enough.
one another thing is turning it on. it is such a pain u have to push the power button a couple times and hold it almost 10 seconds to turn it on.

Comments about Vivitek D530 DLP Projector:
I have two of these projectors: one for school to present photos and video to my students, and the other at home as a low-budget home theater. For the money, these have been durable, reliable, and adequate quality.

Comments about Vivitek D530 DLP Projector:
This projector is bright, & its surprisingly small & light.
Even though the description does not mention it, it also comes with a case, however the case is very light and has no padding whatsoever, thus only handy to put the cables, remote and projector in one place, not so much for protection.
A bonus is that on the bottom, near the CoG,there exists a standard 1/4" tripod screw thread, in top of the usual projector mounting threads. This means that in a pinch, you can use any camera tripod to mount this projector.
Cons:
Zoom is very limited, and the image throw is slightly longer/smaller than what I would consider useful in a small room.

Comments about Vivitek D530 DLP Projector:
For the price this projector is superb. It has everything from DLP to an HDMI input. The picture is reproduced crystal clear in whatever resolution is thrown at it.
The one downside was that it doesn't have a very good zoom. The zoom is minimal and so I had to mount this projector further back, thereby decreasing the brightness. Oh well, that's what I get for not doing enough research, good thing you are.
