Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
Excellent quality. Very light. Good eye relief for people that wear glasses. Will use on trips. Didn't give 5 stars because the eye pieces require you to fold the rubber covers back for anyone using glasses and since my wife has glasses and I don't it is a pain to adjust them each time.

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
I have reached the point in life where I want to travel light -but still do birding etc. so when I tried my son's travelite binocs I knew they were for me. While they may not be as good as a larger, more expensive binocs, they are a good buy for the money and I know I will enjoy using them.

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
For birding, a definite step up from my old 7x20 Nikons, but the light weight and compact size keep them convenient for hiking and travelling. Can walk around with them slung over the neck without any bother. Quality is good.

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
I like the sharp image, compact size, click-stop diopter adjustment on the right eyepiece, and the way the diopter adjustment holds the same focus setting for a wide range of distances.
The only improvement I would recommend is lens caps for the objective lenses.

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
Tremendous value. I've looked through a great many binoculars, including some very pricey ones, and the improvements they offer over these Nikons is, for my eyes, miniscule at most. In my view, these are all the binoculars that anyone would need for any normal purpose.

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
They are very easy to adjust for each eye and I am able to use them without my glasses which I could not do with my old pair.
The viewing is bright and very sharp.
They are small and light - very useful when hiking and camping.
I would prefer them to be waterproof instead of water resistant.

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
I purchased the binoculars for viewing at theater productions. They are great - lightweight, fit in my bag, easy to see the stage. I will be using them on vacations as well. Don't know of any disadvantages/cons, since this is my first pair of binoculars.

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
This is a note of historical interest: I bought the direct predecessor of this binocular in 1990, 22 years ago. Exactly the same weight, just 2mm smaller in diameter (8X23). This great little Nikon binoc is still giving great images today. Clear as a bell, light as can be. The hand-grip (leatherette?) has gotten a bit faded, but otherwise it is pristine. Everyone should have one. Thanks for reading. John Robinson

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
I bought these binoculars for backpacking (9 oz.) and they're well worth it. They tuck away into the belt pocket on my pack. Optics are very good. Focusing is easy and precise, and they're very easy to hold. There's a little distortion at the bottom edge, but considering the price it isn't a big deal. Recommended.

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
These were purchased to replace my wife's 8X20 Travelites which were drowned in a canoing accident. M. was very fond of the 8X20's, but Nikon has discontinued that model. These are good binoculars - reasonably light, good FOV, good resolution, but they are substantially larger and heavier than the 8X20 model, perhaps double the bulk and weight. In that, they were a dissappointment, and I have subsequently purchased an Olympus 8X21 which is nearly identical to the lost Nikon unit. I intend to to keep the Nikon 8X25's in the car, to replace bulkier, inferior Tasco binos kept there for unexpected things-worth-a-closer-look.

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
These are used for daytime birding. Binoculars are light weight for easy carrying in a pack and have a crystal clear image. They are easy to focus. They would probably not be as well suited for use in low light but for my purposes small size and light weight are more important than low light performance.

This is not a cheap binocular, but it is worth its cost. It happens to be the same product as a friend of mine, who bought it several years ago and he is still happy with it.

Comments about Nikon Travelite VI 8x25 Binocular:
I'm a retired birding guide in Portal, Az. I'm very impressed by the lightness, field of view, and especially the optical quality of this rather inexpensive compact binocular. They work better than my Bushnell Elite compacts, which cost $230. I would recommend a pair of these tucked into a pack, or used full time for birding and nature watching.
