The Traktor X1 is not the bulkiest of controllers, sitting alone by itself next to most standard CDJ's and Mixers, it is dwarfed. The X1 bag not only gives you great protection for this controller while transporting, but infact doubles as a stand that brings the X1 up to the desired height needed to make flush with with pretty much all CDJ's and Mixers. This product was exactly what I needed, and was well worth the money!

I'm a DJ that loves to have everything fit in my backpack so I bought the Kontrol X1 to use with my Traktor software. Since I don't use a special DJ bag with padded compartments I decided to buy this controller case and keep the X1 safe.

This case works well for its purpose which is to keep your X1's knobs and buttons and even the facade itself from getting scratched or damaged. It's easy to open and close and the top half can be turned around and placing the X1 in it will elevate it to roughly the same height as the standard DJ mixers which is a great feature. I also liked the small mesh pocket inside the top cover that allows you to tuck the USB cable in it so you don't lose it or forget where you put it. It's also great that NI put a lot of attention into the details like the two tabs at either end of the top half of the case so you can easily pull the top half off without having to stick your fingers in between the two halves trying to pry it open.

The case is pretty solid but the only small gripe I had was that the flap that holds the top and bottom half together kind of gets annoying when the X1 is in "elevated mode" since you need to tuck it under the unit for it to be out of the way. I also wasn't too keen on the Traktor name in big white letters across the flap because it makes it obvious that the case contains an expensive piece of DJ gear (although I'm sure some people would like that, I'm not one of them).

Overall, the Kontrol X1 bag does a great job and I have very minor and almost negligible complaints about this piece of kit. If you own an X1, it would be good to pick up one of these cases for it!

I use the Kontrol X1 bag to protect my Kontrol X1 when commuting to and from events! This bag fits the Kontrol X1 perfectly! I love the fact that it also functions as a stand to bring it up to mixer/turntable height! It also has an elastic pouch to hold the USB cable.

Handsome case for my X1. Could use a carrying handle but no big deal. Keeps the device up level with the rest of my equipment and the rubber feet keep it from sliding during heavy use.

I can't imagine using my X1 without this bag. It really should be sold with the X1 as a standard feature. It is a well designed and durable product that I expect will last the test of many gigs. If you are thinking about getting a Kontrol X1, get this bag.

I wanted this product in order to bring my X1 controllers up to a flush height alongside my mixer. The controller itself is only about an inch tall while my mixer is 4 inches tall. Without these bags underneath my controller it was a bit cumbersome to reach down between the mixer & whatever else is alongside the oposing side of the controller to tweak knobs & what not.

Aside from that, they protect my investment & I now feel a bit safer traveling with these on the road.

This is the second design that NI came out with so make sure that you buy these & not the older bags as the older ones aren't as 'solid' & your X1 midi controller will 'sink' into the older bags when you're pushing on the knobs.

The only complaint I have, (which isn't a big deal at all) is that there's a misprint on the logo on one of the bags. Instead of the 'NI' logo on the face of the bag it displays a transposed 'IN' logo! LoL... No biggie, but a little tacky.
