Comments about Redrock Micro 1.5" Micro Arm Short (Black):
I used the Micro Arm to attach a small monitor to the camera.
After using it a few times the connections started to come loose.
After using it 5 times it fell apart.

Comments about Redrock Micro 1.5" Micro Arm Short (Black):
These little guys are great. And they don't cost an arm and a leg.
WARNING: Do not get the longer Micro Arm. Read the reviews on it, the construction is a big fail, which is a big surprise coming from a quality brand like Red Rock Micro.
I now have two of these and they work perfectly. One does have to tighten the knob a lot in order to ensure a lock. The flexible articulation allows for adding lights, audio, monitors, etc. to an existing rail setup, while keeping everything compact, light, and maneuverable.
I use one for my monitor, which I tend to move a lot when I'm shooting handheld. This arm allows me to have a tight hold, while being able to tilt my monitor as needed.
I highly recommend these if you are building a monster freak rail set up like me.

Comments about Redrock Micro 1.5" Micro Arm Short (Black):
This arm is versatile, but be sure not to loosen it too much. It can come apart and lose little pieces making it worthless. As long as you treat it with respect it will hold up vigorous use.

Comments about Redrock Micro 1.5" Micro Arm Short (Black):
Simply stunningly bad product. We have two and have even gone as far as getting them custom welded in the weak places to avoid them going lose under the shoot. This micro arm has about five joints that go lose un-intentionally doing shooting. The main joint will hold, but all the others will not.

I have a DSLR package and I use this little baby to attach my Alesis Protrack to my tripod.
Performs just fine for that.

Comments about Redrock Micro 1.5" Micro Arm Short (Black):
Although the construction feels solid at first, I was never able to make the arm completely stiff. My monitor would sometimes suddenly fall forward or backwards during a recording, forcing me to hold it with my hand as well. It broke a month and a half after I bought it.

I'm looking to build up my kit and purchased an LCD monitor to go with my 7D and redrock shoulder rig.
Simple and solid. Love it.
