I was looking for a product to make a transition from vinyl to the digital world and the V7 was love at first sight. It has the feel and functionality that I'm used to with tons of extras. Opening this thing right out box was an instant joy and you can pretty much get right to work after you install the software. Although my first unit wasn't recognized by the cpu; Numark helped me discover that fairly quickly and B&H swapped it out with no problem. I was in and out within 15 min.

The manual is cut and dry but if you've seen cdj's before, no detailed expanations are necessary. It's a lot of fun to use and it comes with a sample pac sounds for the scratch dj to start getting adjusted to the push and pull for clean scratches. ((((AHHHHHHHHG FRESH)))))))

If you like to beat juggle.....no problem. The V7 has hot cues which you can set in seconds. Once you have your tape markings in the right position, fire off the hot cue and your sound is in the clock position you desire and you're ready for action. All hot cues are stored to memory so what you practice can be performed on the fly.

The unit is rock solid and I don't miss my tables at all. As a matter of fact these things are like turntables that run off of 5 hour energy shots (constantly). The onboard effects are great; not recommended for studio but for live sets "NICE". You can't beat this purchase for the price tag. I bought mine before the deadline to receive a free case (sorry....one per household), I'm hoping Numarks rebate response mirrors the tech support response.

I'm a DJ/Producer and the new center peices of my studio looks great.

I would recommend this product to any classic turntablist, remixer, or new DJ. First of all, it is very showy. The turntable is guaranteed to attract the attention of people at events. Secondly, when you buy this product you get more than just a solid turntable. You get the Numark behind it. They were extremely helpful in choosing the right product and answering questions as well as explaining their rebates.

The software, Serato Itch, takes some adjustment for those switching from virtual dj, but it is so worth it. Also, unlike cd mixers, there is no timecode to worry about. This thing is entirely usb run as far as interfacing with Itch. Linking two turntables couldn't be any easier! I've also had gigs where I've needed to go from the openers mix to mine and this works flawlessly.

The pricepoint is good for as much as you are getting out of it. This is a quality product and I will continue to add V7s as well as Numark products to my rigs.

I can't believe I waited so long to pick the product up! I used the Numark NDX 800's for a while and I really like them, but moving on to the V7's is like night and day! The first thing I noticed was the build quality (this thing is heavy), nothing light and plastic like most digital turntables...this thing is solid, with rubber buttons that definitely have a nice feel to them; giving you reassurance that they are built to last.

Once connected and out of the box, the sound that is omitted is amazing- like I said, the difference between night and day from the NDX 800's.

Construction of the platter and connection of the units is easy (I bought two). They come with an install disk for Serato Itch being that they are full midi controllers-bonus (no box and time coded disks to connect like Scratch Live or TRAKTOR). I recommend visiting the Serato website and downloading the new version of Itch 2.0. The response from the units is probably the closest thing to actual vinyl turntables. Sure, they only use 7" platters which doesn't have the complete weight and feel of a 12", but it's pretty close. (there are tips and tricks that can be found online from other users to get a more 12" feel if preferred). The ability to adjust the torque setting is a nice touch allowing for a more customized feel and there is the ability to turn the platter completely off for those who like the standard digital turntable.

There's not much of a learning curve here. I was surprised as to how easy they are to use. After assembling the platters and installing itch; it's all downhill from there. I really like ease of use of all the effects and features. The loop functions are quick and easy. Setting cue points is a breeze and the strip search on the top is amazing. These turntables really do everything with the touch of a button. For those DJ's using digital software there's not one reason to ever reach for a mouse again with the V7's.

Closing comments- Highly recommended! I enjoy them more and more each time I use them, not to mention they look cool too!

Mixing on the Numark V7 is like a dream. You can do complete mixes on just ONE of these. Add a second one to create even more dynamic live mixes. Super sturdy, built like a tank. But don't let the small size fool you, they are heavy. Super low latency like you'd expect with any Serato product. Lots of features such as looping, cue points, reverse platter, fx, etc.

I just picked up 2 of the V7's to replace my dieing decks hooked up with scratch live. I have been using vinyl for over 10 years and have never liked using cdj's. I also dont see the point of buying a CDJ, $$$, and just putting a serato disc in it. I tried these things out and I was very surprised at how well they responded. The little record things on them feel normal just smaller. The hot cue buttons are fun. I also like being able to scroll through my tracks on the deck its self. They are built well too. If you like spinning vinyl and are interested in switching to a digital device, I would recommend the V7. It took me along time to switch over but now I am happy I did. If you want to use one V7 to control 2 decks, It clicks when you hit the deck selection switch. So I would not recommend using one deck in a professional setting.

The controller seems of great build and a lot of features. It is taking some time to get use to the 45.
Itch is good, not great. hopefully in 2.0 they will add new features, like being able to sync files to crates with not having to use scratchtools or itch-sync

This Numark V7 is a very solid piece of equipment, from the moment i took it out the box and felt the weight i knew it was well put together. The response you get using the Numark v7 is borderline perfect and it can take rough handling. Great for home studios but little heavy if you're mobile dj but not as heavy as when you carried a crates of records :-)

Numark really stepped their game up with the Numark V7 controllers. I have been DJing on and off since 2004, ran through 3 different setups since then and this is my 4th setup and I have to say that I will not be giving these up EVER!The V7's feel just like Technics to me in a way, and you can even adjust the torque to how you like it, High or low. 6 months ago I made the mistake of choosing technics over these, and although I was happy with my choice something still was pulling me towards the V7's, So here I am now with 2 V7's and I love them.The structure of the V7's are very solid and are built like tanks, The built-in effects are pretty cool also and the serato itch was created and made to do exactly what it does, which is play music and nothing else extra to confuse the user.I highly recommend the Numark V7's to anyone out there, especially if you are new to DJing. Just received this new controller in the mail. They build it like a tank--metal siding and a bit heavier than my Denon 3500s.Getting started with the hardware was simple. I just went to [@] to download the itch software, restarted, then launched the app and plugged in the hardware via USB. The software immediately recognized the unit and I was scratching and mixing in no time.The controls are easy to use. Using one deck to control both is actually pretty easy. Just toggle the "Deck A, Deck B" switch and you can jump between controlling the two decks. Having the knob to scroll through tracks and the Load A, Load B buttons makes getting the next track ready quite easy. In addition, when you load the new track, it immediately loads all your cue points (up to 5 hot cues).The software is easy to use and hooks into your iTunes library really easily. I like the fact that I can prep cue points and play lists ahead of time, without having to have the hardware connected to my laptop.The easy to navigate software, the physical dials and buttons to control your music, as well as the instant hot cues loaded when the tracks are loaded makes deejaying much easier than using timecoded vinyl or CDs.
