The microLensGear enables an exact fit between your 35mm SLR lens and Redrock Micro's microFollowFocus system, which allows for more precise and fluid focus adjustments when using still lenses to shoot video. The Size A gear wraps around lenses with a focus ring circumference of 180-220mm, and is pulled snug with one of the included fastening screws.

Comments about Redrock Micro microLensGear Size A (Black):
Love Redrock and their high quality gear. For whatever reason, their website suggests you use this ring for the Zeiss ZE 50mm lens. I ordered it and this is not the correct size - it's too small even with the longer threaded rod. If you're looking for a ring for that lens, go with size "B." Fits perfectly. I'd recommend going ahead and getting at least sizes A, B, and C as you never know when you might acquire a lens.

Good lense gear. Feels strong and is very easy to put on and off. Love it and definitly worth the buy if you are needing something of the like

Comments about Redrock Micro microLensGear Size A (Black):
I considered a lower profile lens gear like the Zacuto Zip Gear, but because of the 52mm diameter of my Nikkor lenses the Rebrock Mocrolens gear was a better choice for me. The Redrock is also a wider gear which helps with the lens barrel travel you get with some still lenses. If the focus gear is too narrow the follow focus gear will roll off the edge of the gear.
