2 thinks to note first:1. You need to set the reversing gear JUST RIGHT against the follow focus gear. To tight and it will unscrew the reversing gear, to loose and it will skip off.2. Once you find that happy spot, tighten those thumbscrews really well.Once I figured out the above, I realized there is quite a bit of play in the focus. Also there seems to be a bulge in the gear that makes it go from loose to tight to loose to tight as you spin it. I've been working with a RedrockMicro rep on this. They've been fairly helpful.In the end it's only[$] but I was expecting a little better quality. At least I can use my Nikon lenses now without having to re-learn how to focus.
