Sony's Wide Angle Conversion Lens Kit attaches to the camcorder standard bayonet mount and provides a wider angle-of-view by a factor of 0.7x. Made of top-quality HG glass, the lens features a design comprised of three lens groups and is encased in an aluminum housing for superb durability. It comes with a large lens hood and soft carrying case. Originally designed for Sony's HVR-HD1000U camcorder, this lens is also compatible with the PMW-100 and other camcorder models with the standard bayonet mount.

The lens is absolutely amazing. As soon as I screwed it on it was as if I had a second camera. I use a Sony HD hvr 1000u and it works great but does not have a wide lens. Perfectly clear zoomed in and out. Heavy duty, very nice quality and professional looking...... Very impressed. Adds about 3 ft. more on both sides. Looks great indoors and out. Easy to take on and off, comes with nice lens bag, and hood with bag also. It does have some weight but I prefer quality glass over some cheap plastic. I could go on all day. I find nothing wrong with this product. It was shipped quickly and packed professionally. I will defaniatly do business again.

Great lens kit, also works with the HXR-MC2000 camcorder, Images are sharp, on the widest angle it does round out your corners just a little, other than that its fantastic.
