The Sunpak 620-738 Quick Release Platform is for use with the 3-way panhead on Sunpak 6200DX digital tripods. The quick release plate can be kept attached to the camera's base and allows you to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from the tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.

I lost the Quick Release platform awhile back and needed a new one so I search for the one that would fit the Sunpak tripod that I have. So B & H had one so I bought two of them so have one as a spare. This is a very strong product and have no problem in the quality of it. I shoot a lot of scenery and flowers during the summer time and always need a tripod for these purposes. There are no flows in this product and I recommend this product anyone.

If you need to quickly take your camera off of your tripod, this is what you need. It beats slowly unscrewing your camera while the shot gets away from you. Can't beat the price, and awesome service.

This is the only OEM replacment I am aware of for a Sunpack Tripod 6200DX. With that being said, if you loose your quick release platform this will replace it and allow you to use your tripod once again.
The fit is not the greatest, but then again, neither was the original. I would not recommend this tripod as the platform doesn't fit "Tight", but if you need a replacment platform, then I would say go for it.

Works well as designed, Level is built into the tripod not the platform. Camera does not balance well with platform attached and not on the tripod, thus quick release is good if you plan to hold the camera. Not a major issue, but I am always looking to cut down on tasks.
