Comments about Zeiss 58mm Front Lens Cap for SLR Lenses:

How can such an awesome lens have such a poor fitting lens cap? Are they kidding. Maybe someone with tiny fingers with the dexterity of a surgeon can use this but I can't! I'm going to try adding some kind of grippy tape to see if that helps, but I'm worried I'll damage my filter trying to get this thing on and off. I plan to switch to Canon, Nikon or Sony - something I can grip easier. I LOVE the 50mm, f/1.4 ZF lens though!

    Horrible

    By friendswithbooks

Comments about Zeiss 58mm Front Lens Cap for SLR Lenses:

These lens caps do not stay on. They are cheap and uncomfortable to take on and off. I lost this lens cap within a couple of weeks of owning my 50mm lens. I recommend the Nikon lens caps instead.

Comments about Zeiss 58mm Front Lens Cap for SLR Lenses:

Zeiss, If you are reading reviews of your products. Please take note that your lens caps are the worst in the market. You make superb lenses but you ship them out with a cheap piece of junk lens cap. We pay extra to have your glass, do us a favor and include a lens pouch and provide a quality lens cap..... is that so much to ask for. Otherwise, I love your 21mm ZE! Oh and the 100mm ZE. And I have the 35mm 2. ZE.

      Cons

      • Not very usable

      Best Uses

      • Store in the box

Comments about Zeiss 58mm Front Lens Cap for SLR Lenses:

The original caps for Cosina-made Zeiss lenses do not hold well on the lens. Easy to loose, easy to damage the front lens when it falls off inside the bag.
Recommend to replace them ASAP with Nikon, Tamron or Sony branded, with center-pinch.
