The SkimmerSack is innovative and versatile. You must fill the bag with rice, beans, sunflower seed, but you can full to any level to provide the exact support you need. It can lay over a window edge or plopped down on a car top to cradle a big lens. Uses velcro straps to attach to door pulls and has handles. I'll use it with a Canon 500mm on the top of a Land Rover in Kenya and Tanzania.

Comments about Naturescapes SkimmerSack Beanbag:
Using sunflower seeds I adjusted the fill so that it sits over my car window and provides a solid prop for my Nikon D300S and 200-400 f/4. I do a lot of bird photography using my car as a blind, and this bag is something I've been needing for a good while.
It is very well constructed, and I expect years of usage.

Comments about Naturescapes SkimmerSack Beanbag:
I use the SkimmerSack Beanbag to stabilize my Canon Telephoto EF500mm f/4L for bird photography, mainly when I shoot from my car. I fill it with polystyrene Beads which is much lighter than beans and much more convenient when travelling abroad. I am very happy with this product, it does the job very well.

Comments about Naturescapes SkimmerSack Beanbag:
Had thought about making my own, but this seemed a much better and easier solution. It was easily filled with sunflower seeds, keeping fairly light-weight, fits well on my truck door and provides a steady surface for my 200-400. My only complaint is that it was rather expensive.

Works great - great value. You'll have to find your own " poly beads " - most craft stores have these.

I use this product to shoot out of my car window. It holds a long lens perfectly while the flaps sit on both sides of my car window when it's down. I love this thing and keep it my car all the time and cannot find any flaws with it.

Comments about Naturescapes SkimmerSack Beanbag:
You have to figure the cost of purchasing the inner material for this bag, but the bag itself is very well made and does what it promises to do. I often quickly flip it on itself to double the height when conditions require more height while shooting from the car.I'm pleased with the purchase.

Comments about Naturescapes SkimmerSack Beanbag:
I plan to use the SkimmerSack to photograph birds and wildlife from my car. The beanbag fits nicely over my car door. I was anxious to try it out so I went into the garage to test it. I lowered the window, placed it over the door, and selected a metal knob on the top of our camp lantern which had a grid pattern on it. The 70-200 lens felt rock solid resting on the SkimmerSack so I fired away. Upon examining the knob at full magnification, I was shocked to see how sharp it was. I'm going to figure other ways to use this bag.
