Comments about LaCie 8GB CooKey Flash USB Drive:
I've had an 8Gb LaCie key since 2008. During my undergraduate work, it was nice to always have a drive with me when someone wanted to share something. It's the most convenient way since it's always with me. As for the durability, I've dropped it on concrete, wood floors and even dropped it, along with my keys in a puddle of water on a rainy day. It still works like new. I purchased one for my mentee in our College of Pharmacy mentor program. I told him that it's practically indestructible! There is nothing that I have found to be wrong with this key drive by LaCie. I tell everyone and show everyone that I can.

Comments about LaCie 8GB CooKey Flash USB Drive:
I love the way this flash drive hides on my key ring. I thought it came with an endcap but it does not. My main concern is how durable it will be banging around with my keys in my pocket. Only time will tell.

I carry several Lacie "keys" with me all the time. I can easy transfer info from one computer to another. The Lacie keys have never let me down... the same is true for the latest addition. I have a complete Snow leopard installer on it!

Comments about LaCie 8GB CooKey Flash USB Drive:
This is a convenient and smartly designed device. The only drawback - mentioned in other comments - is the unreliability of the plastic cap intended to protect the sensitive tip of the drive: it's very loose, and I lost it the very day I received it.
The manufacturer should remedy this problem by either:
1. Making the protection cap tighter;
2. Including two or three additional protection caps in the package;
3. Making the caps availaable for purchase.
I believe that any of these simple, easy, and unexpensive solutions would help address the only drawback of an otherwise excellent product.

Comments about LaCie 8GB CooKey Flash USB Drive:
I bought this because it blends in on my keyring, where a regular thumbdrive perminatly with the keys screams geek. It's solid metal which makes mr feel better. About letting it float around in my pocket with keys. Other than that it's your average flash drive, a bit on the slow end but not horrid. The plastic cover that comes with it became lost on day one.
