The M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens from Olympus is a high-power wide to telephoto zoom (28-300mm in 35mm equivalent) that offers amazing optical performance in an extraordinarily compact and lightweight (9.87 oz, 280 g) design.
In order to fit the requirements for Micro Four Thirds System cameras, this lens features a reduced lens diameter (2.5", 63.5mm) and overall length (3.3", 83mm) with a minimum image field of 78 x 59mm. It is constructed with 15 elements in 11 groups, employing ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements to suppress the color aberration that can degrade image quality, particularly at wide-angle focal lengths.
The wide focal range of this lens is perfect for everything from portraits and interior scenes to sports and landscape photography. Mounted on the camera full-time, it's ready for any photo opportunity.

Purchased this lens for my PEN2 just before our 2 week trip to Ireland. I was considering the 14 - 54mm II because of all the positive reviews; but after talking to an Olympus tech repon the phone about other lenses as well, I chose the 14-150 mm and I'm so glad I did. It performed admirably at all focal lengths providing excellent detail of all the 2000+ photos I took. Having an equivalent 35mm range of 28-300mm served all my needs for this trip. I had the camera either in Program mode or Shutter priority ( 500th sec ), auto white balance & ISO and all the pictures came out clear with true to life color reproduction. The lens had minimal issues with focusing and only hunted occasionally at maximum focal lengths when there was not enough contrast. Focusing speed was the norm for the PEN2 which isn't the quickest but serves most of my needs since my photo interest is primarily landscapes. This lens also performed well in low light conditions where flash was not permitted. When using my Olympus FL36R flash to shoot the interiors of our various accomodations, this lens performed admirably when I just let the flash do its thing or when I adjusted the output due to distance and interior lighting conditions. The lens is well made, no lens creep, and feels good ergonomically. I have the VF2 viewfinder which helps hold the camera steady especially when shooting at those longer focal lengths and also shooting from the coach (bus) when riding to your next tour location ( this is when I shot at 500th sec ). I purchased the B&W MRC F-Pro UV Haze filter for my lens and was pleased with the results. I am a B&W filter fan because of their quality & performance. As usual, I was pleased with placing my order through B&H. [...]I strongly recommend this lens.

Comments about Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens (Micro Four Thirds):
I use this lens for almost all my exterior shots. Except in low-light situations, I also find it extremely useful for indoor work such as parties. The most important features of this lens include its outstanding sharpness, its light weight and its small size. Combine this lens with a few high speed single focal length lenses and you have an ideal light weight kit for virtually all eventualities. Once you own this lens, you will put your OM-D kit lenses on the shelf.
The major drawback of this lens is that it is not especially suited to sports photography, because its max aperture does not permit sufficient shutter speed or reliable focus tracking.

I was frustrated having to change lens with the original Olympus omd-em5 kit , 14-42 and 40-150 mm . The new lens has solved the issue and I have used it this weekend with stunning results . The servive from B&H was great and the lens arrived 2days before the expected date.

I purchased this for my Panasonic Lumix GX1 and have not been disappointed. Since I was interested in keeping my camera light weight it is perfect as it is less than half the weight of the Pansonic 14-140. I am amazed at the detail showing up in my pictues even some taken through a car window traveling the highway. The feel and length of the lens take a little getting used to but it didn't take me long especially since I love the results.

Comments about Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens (Micro Four Thirds):
I really like Olympus/Zuiko glass on my cameras in general. Having purchased the om em5 I wanted a lens similar to my 18-180 mm on my e5. The 14-150 mm has been a perfect fit for me. I don't like to change lenses and carry a lot of glass with me on my travels so I love the flexibility and versality of this single lens. For my purposes it is fast and sharp. Also Olympus has nice edge to edge clarity with no vignetting like I see on my sonya77 pictures. Since it is so light and little I think people say it feels cheap but I don't agree with that based on my pictures. It captures a nice picture out wide or zoomed in. I also like the tension and there's no creep. My other Olympus glass has survived a lot of wear and tear. I am hoping for the same durability but too soon to tell.

I am a photo enthusiast and also a full time RVer so all I do is travel. I heard this is a good travel lens so even though I was skeptical of such a super zoom I tried it for the sake of making my hikes easier and to cut down on all the lens changing. This lens surpassed my expectations and I find it a joy to use. Some may say it is soft zoomed in all the way, but I am pleased. Maybe I am not as critical as some people, but it captures the photos I want.

Dark lens (F4.0-5.6), constructed out of plastic, and the widest angle on it is a so-so 28mm equivalent. I guess if you really want a "super" zoom lens for your MFT camera, it's either this one or the 14-140mm Panny zoom, there is nothing else out there, really.

This was paired with an Oympus Pen Ep-3 Micro 4/3ds camera that initially came with a 17mm lens. My mother has always been a keen wildlife photographer and she turned 73 this year. She still goes on Safari, but the weight of the camera system was getting to her hands. So I gifted her a Pen system with this as her zoom lens.
She has almost always used Cameras with interchangeable and for decades she used Minolta and Nikon SLRs. She is very happy with the size and weight of the camera lens. She feels its not too bulky for the Pen 3 camera either. She wishes it was faster and could focus better in low light situations which can sometimes gets exasperating for her. But by her own admission, this lens has allowed her to just use a camera more as it is not a physical burden.

Sharp, but that's where it ends. It is slow, really cheap plastic feel, total China-ware. I sent mine back, I would rather spend my money on some quality glass. In light of the old Olympus OM mount lenses, this is a step back. This could be a proper kit lens for less than $200, then it would leave people in the 'best bang for the buck' realm, and no one would complain. You get what you pay for. With a tag in excess of [$], this feeling is not there--just the louder than usual sound of the zoom ring turning.Seeing Panasonic, Leica and maybe soon Sigma in the micro 4/3 lens arena, Olympus simply has to do better. Get back the old shine!
