The Sonomatt-24 acoustic foam panel is cut in the industry standard "eggcrate" style to keep its price low, while still allowing it to function almost as well as 2" Studiofoam Wedges.
*Note*: Due to the manufacturing process, Sonomatt's dimple pattern will not be square to the edges of the panels, so installing them side by side may not be advised from a visual consistency standpoint. It may be the perfect choice for those who intend to cover their sound control materials with acoustical cloth or great for low visibility applications such as equipment closets, computer rooms, backstage treatments and broadcast facilities.

I think I have bought maybe 30 panels of this stuff in the past 5 years for remote audio setups. It's cheap and it works well enough. Plus it's not that expensive to ship out.

Easy to install. I used it to reduce the noise of a Hot Tub motor. It helps. Not as much as I would have liked but given the enclosure could not be completely surrounded I am happy with it.
