The Sony DVP-FX750 7" Portable DVD Player (Black) is a perfectly affordable portable widescreen DVD player you can use around the house, on the road and outdoors.
When you're playing outdoors you'll appreciate the FX750's three-hour battery life and textured design that insures you keep a firm grip as you move it about.

This is by far the best dvd player I`ve owned. Feature packed and comes with everything. Even batteries for the remote. Whoever is looking for this type of product, look no further. It has really good loud volume for a portable. Also it`s good you can`t overcharge your battery, if you decide to use A/C power. Worth more. Good battery life if you charge/discharge your battery about 4 or 5 times to condition it, before regular use.

I though it would be at least the size of an iPad screen but it's about half the size. The battery life is grat, the picture quality fine for day shots but nighttime and scenes inside buildings seem darker than they should be.

There are players that have higher resolution and perhaps with more bells and whistles but the Sony DVP-FX750 does what it says it does. I plays DVD's, DVD RW and Photo discs etc. (not blu-ray).
I bought this to play training DVD's when traveling with my camera when I don't have a desktop or laptop available. It's main use for most families will be for kids in the car on long road trips and it will do that well. It does come very complete with charger; a 3 hr. battery which will get through most movies (if charged before starting) and it does have a car charger to avoid running out in the middle of a video.
Sound is decent for a portable player and it has full connectors to attach to a tv; external speakers or headphones. People who complain about the sound are not being realistic. This player is inexpensive and the sound is decent for "portable" playing - which it is intended for. You won't get surround sound or HD sound etc.
The reason I did lower the rating to 4 stars is due to the screen quality which is not terrific but for what I use it for, it is fine. Colours are fairly accurate but most DVD's are a bit grainy as it is not an HD screen.
Sony makes good quality electronics. As DVD's fade away the players are likely to be even less expensive - but then few will worry about reviews at that point!

Bought this DVD player for my 4 yr old granddaughter. She watches movies on this when we are traveling (5 hrs) in a car to our vacation home. This player is totally durable - been dropped many times and no damage. She is completely capable of operating the player on her own!! This is our 2nd player. First one lasted 2 years before she poured a drink into it. Liked it so much we bought the exact same unit again. Good battery life. Good sound. Headphones work well and perfect size for on the go.

I bought this because I wanted to listen to movies falling asleep as I don't have a TV in my bedroom. It's great because you can close the lid and just hear the audio. The battery life could be better, but other than that I am happy I picked this one. B&H has always had great service- I ordered this during Sandy and it was only delayed by one day. Great job B&H!

i wanted a portable dvd player with a relatively small screen for video/sculpture installations...
this one is great and easy to use. (although i've had it less than a week, so durability is still in question.)
the only thing that disappoints is that the remote cannot power the player on and off. this will make it impossible for me to install the player and switch it on remotely, which is what i had in mind.
