I have been looking for a way to capture my cassette tapes from my 1998-2003 VHS camcorder for years. After many expensive options, this cable has been the easiest to use. The quality is not HD, but as good as I've seen from high end recorders and I can do it from home while watching my videos. The program hangs on the last seconds of the burning process and I found that if I simply unplug the USB and plug it back in, the process completes and the video looks great. When I save the file, I use the year month and day. This way, my videos are sorted in date order. Love this product - Super easy to use. One more tip…. It seems to work better if you save in sections rather than all 30 minutes at once.

Comments about Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac:
I have been using this on my Mac recently to capture all of my old VHS movies and tapes, and put them on DVD using iDVD, and saving some of them to my hard drive. This is a great capture/conversion tool for the price. The hardware seems to be good quality, and the software is exceptional. For an advanced user though, the software might seem a little lacking but it is good for the price of the product and works fine.

Comments about Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac:
Easy. That is a big joke. Problems sinse day one. Wouldn't install on one computer at all. Finally installed but only records for bout 10 second and the shuts down computer and makes the disc unusable.
Video is jumpy, streaky, and of poor quality.
Tech support is nothing but a run around, they basicall have you revamp your whole computer which you shouldn't have to do. They keep having you "do this" and "do that" until you get fed up and tell them to forget it and trash their junk.
I have DVDEXPRESS that is 6 or 7 years old and it does a mush better job.
I only gave the one star because no star was not an option.

Comments about Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac:
Application quits unexpectedly, video stops recording leaving only the audio portion of the tape on the dvd. Doesn't seem to be particularly compatible with the Mac as advertised.

Pretty easy to use. Documentation a bit weak. There is a software glitch that was fixed with a downloaded update.

Comments about Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac:
The product simply doesn't work. Read the support forums before you buy. Roxio's tech support can't generally help those with Mac's get the software to work. It won't record anything longer than a few minutes, giving a "capture failed" error. The only reason I gave it one star was this forms requirement - otherwise it doesn't deserve a rating at all. I'm now waiting to see if Roxio will refund my money (don't you wish they could refund your wasted time as well?).

Comments about Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac:
Bought this product to use on my still powerful but ever useless G5 OS 10.4.11 Powermac. According to the tech reqirements this product should have worked for the older OS but when recieved, it was a 10.5 or later version. I could get by by using my Powermac laptop. Usable but a hassle with limited drive space. Program operated easily but don't expect the world

I am trying to use this software with the IMac I just purchased and the audio and video are constantly not syncing. It sets up easy but it will not work if this is not resolved. I am planning on taking back.

Comments about Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac:
I used Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac to transfer old VHS documentaries to DVD. The hardware is a snap to set up, and the software installed quickly and painlessly. The package also includes Toast software, so conversion and transfer to DVD were seamless and easy. Quality, audio and visual were just as in the originals. Plus, Toast offers a helpful and unexpected choice of transfer to NTSC or PAL format. A fine product, and considering the personal value of what it does for you, worth a gazillion times more than its purchase price.

Comments about Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac:
This product does what it says. Not really that configurable (e.g. auto shutoff times for the recording are predefined and not configurable), but for what you are getting at the price hard to complain. Works well, transferred a bunch of videos tapes easily with good quality!!

Comments about Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac:
I use the product to grander any and all vhs tapes I receive. The ease of the product is great... however I haven't had enough time with it to tell if the slight loss in quality is because of the rca cable being used and not an s-video cable. Overall it is a very easy and good product

Will not fit a 2 hour VHS movie on a DVD. Software is garbage, you have to upgrade to Toast 10. Quality is poor.
