View Similar ItemsWith Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and 4000 ANSI lumens of brightness at a tack-sharp 50,000:1 contrast ratio, the BenQ SP890 DLP Digital Projector creates a unique theater experience wherever it's used.
The SP890 can deliver 720p, 1080i and 1080p/60/50/24 high definition signals from a satellite, a cable box and Blu-ray discs. And those images will stay in pristine digital form (no analog conversion required) along the path between the device and the SP890 thanks to its two HDMI 1.3 inputs.
The part that forms the picture in this projector is a Texas Instruments DLP DMD panel. It features an innovation that TI calls BrilliantColor. Unlike other technologies such as LCD that use just three primary colors to produce the image, DLP Technology with BrilliantColor uses up to six separate colors.
Color accuracy is paramount to a quality image. BrilliantColor not only improves color accuracy, it brightens secondary colors as well. This combination produces a new level of color performance that increases the brightness of the colors by up to 50% over DLP projectors without BrilliantColor for accurate, true-to-life images.
The SP890's Hollywood Quality Video (HQV) by IDT makes even 480i signals look almost as good as high definition.
The SP890 not only projects stunning pictures, it can do so all over the world with its 100 – 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz auto switching power supply and its ability to handle NTSC, PAL, and SECAM video signals. Its OSD (on-screen display) offers your choice of 16 languages.
Best of all, your SP890 is energy efficient. It uses only 440 watts to project its super bright image and in standby mode it draws less than a watt.

Comments about BenQ SP890 DLP Digital Projector:
We purchased this projector as the main source of view for our church services. By far it is the best projector we have invested in. The images are absolutely stunning in regards to videos, presentations and background loops. We absolutely love the lens-shift (tilt) option. It allowed us to easily setup the installation. 50,000:1 contrast ratio...no other projector in its class like this one.

We bought it to replace an old one in our church. This has a clearer-brighter image and it supports a high resolution thru HDMI, the remote is very responsible even at long distance. Very pleased with it.

It has a great picture. It has to be pretty far back to make picture large but it is still very clear.

Comments about BenQ SP890 DLP Digital Projector:
We use the SP890 in our church sanctuary. We can seat about 400 and we have tons of clear windows (no stain glass windows at all) so as you can imagine the light level is tremendous. This projector works great with lights on and/or off. The projector is mounted 20 feet above the pulpit and I cannot hear the fan at all during the service. If you are looking for a projector for a church then this is it.

Comments about BenQ SP890 DLP Digital Projector:
We use this as our portable projector all around our facility-its our first BenQ product so i cant speak to reliability or customer service.
At first use, it seems evenly bright and very detailed. Rainbow effect is fairly minimal and colors seem mostly accurate. There is some mosquito noise on parts of one video that i haven't tried to address yet-nothing major. Its very quiet with zero light leak and a beautiful black housing. Wish it had DVI input and was a little shorter throw. So far its a winner, especially at this price. The remote has contrast and brightness access and is well laid out.

Comments about BenQ SP890 DLP Digital Projector:
We're using this projector for presentations and lectures on neurosurgery, so we require something that can show highly detailed images. It does this well. It is a breeze to connect to the laptops and computers we use it with, and focusing it isn't much of a fuss. It is rather large (hence its moniker), and runs a little loud, but neither of these detract too much from the product overall.

Comments about BenQ SP890 DLP Digital Projector:
I installed this unit in a large sized church that seats approximately 600+ people. It is used primarily for PC and video presentation. The projector is about 25 feet away from the screen and from any angle in the church the visual dynamics remain accurate and impressive. I love the fact that the unit can be controlled (easily) by remote from various angles and up to 80 feet!
This is a great product for churches, libraries, conference rooms and even home theaters. This is not a unit to use as a portable...if so I highly recommend getting a safe storage and carry case for it other wise Mount it, plug it in, turn it on and enjoy!
