This power strip/surge protector is a great way of lowering the vampire power draw of A/V equipment. Because components still pull a little juice when in standby mode, powered off and waiting for an ON signal, I felt the Belkin would be a good way to lower the utility impact of my pre-amp, DVD players, and subwoofers. The strips are hidden away, but the on/off switch is readily near by.
Con is that the "always on" outlets tie to an LED which is always on. Low draw, I know, but didn't need to know that there's power to the "always on" outlets.
