Comments about Mackie TH15A THUMP 400W 15" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker:

First few gigs, they did really well. The sound was good, the weight was nice for hauling. Sooner or later, you WILL blow a woofer. I never managed to get above 1/2 volume on the main of my Numark NS6 and have lost 1 of 2 already. WARNING! Mackie does NOT warranty them if you blow a driver. You WILL have to pay to replace the driver, and expect $ or there about. Needless to say, mine were picked up un-repaired. Add in a pair of Eminence Kapa Pros and they're back in action for now. It added weight, but they're back to 100%

      Sound is amazing

Comments about Mackie TH15A THUMP 400W 15" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker:

I just bought my mackie thump 15a at B&H. The speaker's design is modern and the material appears to be solid and of very good quality. I mounted the speaker on a stand bought at the same place, plugged the speaker on a pdj480um mixer, turned off the speaker's EQ. Driven by the mixer's EQ alone, the speaker sounds incredibly good, both on low and high frequencies. I give it 5 stars

Comments about Mackie TH15A THUMP 400W 15" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker:

I recently upgraded to a pair of the TH15A Thumps. The Thumps are fairly big cabs with 15" woofers - but they are light and have good handles built in for lifting. I now have fewer cases and cords to mess with. I go straight out of the mixer into the Thumps w XLR cords. The best part is they sound fantastic. Powerful and deep. I may add a powered sub later to achieve super low frequencies. But, in the meantime the Thumps make my mobile dj setup sound great! Simple and very easy to use out of the box.

Comments about Mackie TH15A THUMP 400W 15" 2-Way Active Loudspeaker:

I'm in a band and we like to play loud, and the Thump just didn't cut it for us. I tried to use the speaker for my vocals, but even with the volume maxed out, it just wasn't loud enough. In addition there was a weird buzzing noise when the speaker was on, and the XLR connection was baggy. It may be a great speaker for someone needing a PA to announce things or for someone that isn't competing for volume with guitar, bass and a drum machine.

Not quite as good fidelity as higher end Mackie
or Jbl's but for half the price I can live with it.
plenty of low end and with a good equalizer they
sound great. Have 4 3 year old tapcos and they still work great
