The JonyShot from Jony is a professional-quality parabolic microphone dish that provides long-range audio pickup in an easy-to-use design. Ideal for sporting and events applications, the 24" dish has an acrylic and aluminum construction for lasting durability. There are 2 comfortable grips on either side for handheld use, as well as a mounting plate with standard 1/4" threads for tripod mounting.
The JonyShot has a universal isolated microphone mount that accepts most handheld or shotgun microphones. Depending on weather and wind conditions, the JonyShot can pick up audio from 3' all the way up to 500' away. Audio output is via an included cable, though an optional wireless transmitter may be used for additional flexibility.
Note! This item is the dish and connection cable only. Mic and preamp are sold separately.

I needed a parab for a Ski Jump documentary I am DP'ing and was having a hard time finding a rental, so I decided to bite the bullet and purhcase one. By far, the BEST purchasing decision I have made recently! I also purchased the MM-1 Single Channel Portable Microphone Preamp for this kit, which worked perfectly as well. I was able to capture audio from the skier pushing off the pipe, all the way to the bottom of the out-run.
