I bought this to connect a Sony CD player (Sony cfd-s35cp) to a pair of Acoustic Energy Aegis Neo 1 (v1) speakers I had lying around.

Pros: Extremely simple to set up and use - took me less than 10 minutes from unpacking to having the set-up working. Sound quality is not bad at all for the price. There is increased distortion at higher levels but the sound is too loud for my room well before I reach this point. The small form factor is a huge convenience and the 120v/220v selector enabled me to directly use this in India. Nice construction and finish.

Cons: No complaints as of now. I found the flashing blue LEDs uncomfortably bright at night, but covering them with tape took take care of the issue.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. Highly recommended.

We needed an amplifier to power outdoor speakers. Most tuner/amplifiers are wider than the 15 inch wide cabinet we wanted to use as the sound system housing. The Pyle amplifier fit the bill. I plugged in our Nano iPod and we now enjoy music from our deck all the way to the property line 200 feet away. The only challenge I had was getting the push type speaker terminals to accept the mega cable pin connectors. The spring in one of the speaker connectors actually popped out as I was trying to get the pin to seat. I was able to repair it by super gluing the spring onto the push piece and reassembling it. There should be no reason for this difficulty given that pin connectors are standard diameter. I would have given this device a higher rating had it not been for this problem. Also, as many posters have stated, the flashing blue lights on the front panel are obnoxious unless you're having a disco dance party. I just close the cabinet door to block them out.

...and I'm the doctor, so I ought to know! I needed a small, clean power amplifier to drive speakers for my Macbook. The PCA4 was the correct choice after lots of homework. Very reliable and very inexpensive. An added bonus: I was able to drive a second set of speakers that I had from an old stereo system. It's a great sound and I am very happy!

Comments about Pyle Pro PCA4 Mini 2 x 120 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier:

I use the Pyle PCA4 amp to power two outdoor speakers on the patio. The small footprint is important in my application and I'm happy with the performance. My only complaint is that the speaker wires barely fit into the tiny receptors provided. Since the unit is located in a closet, the unattractive design is not an issue.

Comments about Pyle Pro PCA4 Mini 2 x 120 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier:

So, according to the manual, this amplifier only really puts out 20 watts per channel. That being said, do not think you can power 200-300 watt speakers with this and expect it to sound clean..

I bought this because I needed an amp that was small and quiet (fan-less) to power a pair of studio monitors. The studio monitors I am currently using are 40 watts RMS and this amp powers them really well.

The blue db meter lights are another concern. They are WAY too bright. This bothered me at first, but after using it for a couple of weeks, my mind just tunes it out.

I bought this so I could upgrade to 7.1 surround. My receiver has a 7.1 pre-amp channel so I was looking for something compact and yet powerful enough to run with the rest of the system. I know I could have gone with more power but at 5X the price.

While it's truly only a 20 watt amplifier...not 120 watts...like what's stenciled on it. At reasonable levels the sound is good. Time will only tell how dependable it is. It's used to drive speakers in another room from my computers front speaker jacks via a Y connector.

Comments about Pyle Pro PCA4 Mini 2 x 120 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier:

The specifications in the user manual state that this is a 2 x 20 watt amplifier (at 1% distortion), not 2 x 120 watts. If you try to push up to 30 watts per channel, you have 10% distortion which makes it unpleasant for any type of music. On the positive side it is inexpensive, small, and easy to use. It will run some small speakers for a small size room.

I was really surprised that this unit died as fast as it did. I hooked it up and turned it on. It made the speakers thump once and died. The fuse remained good, and the power LED turned on, but it would not pass sound.
