I use this monitor in my home recording studio along side a VG1930wm monitor. They are both connected to the same computer via a dual display card. I'm a multi-media kind of guy, and I use this system to create radio commercials for my business as a playwright, to advertise upcoming shows: script on one screen and recording software on the other, I also use these monitors in my pro photography business as well, to review and edit photos (I told you I was a multi-media kind of guy).
Picture quality along with tilt and swivel base makes this monitor perfect for my application. FYI: I do not use the built in active speakers, but its good to have them available in the event that I decide to use them, instead of firing up the entire studio, to give something a quick listen.
