Comments about Pyle Pro PDWM8300 VHF Wireless Conference Microphone System:

Pass on this unit if you are planning on using it in a professional, "important" setting! Not even close to being worth the cheap price! Right out of the box, unit is extremely noisy when patched into a pro sound system. Immediately noticed static inference as soon as I turned mixer channel up. Only has (1) balanced & (1) unbalanced output(s), not the individual outs as advertised. Channel 1 mic did not work at all other than just a hum, again right out of the box. 2 or 3 of the mics have an audible "pop" when talk switch is turned off. Several of the battery compartment covers do not snap closed securely. Antennaes are cheap and flimsy and seemed loose even after being connected to receiver unit. Channel 8 mic took at least a couple of seconds before transmitting & receiver was less than 20 feet away. I own & operate an AV company here in Nashville, TN and work AV daily. I should have know better. Didn't spend alot of money on it, but still stuck with a worthless unit that I can't use or rely on. Save your money and purchase a Bosch wired conference system! Rented one this past summer and they are Rock Solid & totally Professional!!

Comments about Pyle Pro PDWM8300 VHF Wireless Conference Microphone System:

First of all, this little kit is great for the price. I needed a way to mic multiple locations in a meeting, on a tight budget with very short notice. I reluctantly purchased this kit as I found the lack of information, including no pictures anywhere of the rear of the unit to be frustrating. Even the description on Pyle's website isn't entirely accurate, nor do they include any more pictures than found here.

      Some questions you may have:

      Outputs: One 1/4", one XLR.

      Batteries included?? : Yes, 8x9v

How is the sound Quality?: It works. It's eight wireless mics and a control unit for dirt-cheap. you should have realistic expectations.

Is it rackmountable? : Yes, it includes brackets to mount it. It's important to consider the four antennas on the back however. They are about eight inches long.

What do they mean by "Individual & Mixed Audio Outputs"?: I don't know, but there are NOT 8 individual outputs. I didn't want or need that, but that line wasn't clear to me, and the specifications made it sound even more like that was the case.

It has four antennas on the back, not two.

Each unit has a transmit button and the gooseneck lights up red at the mic. There is also a red light for each on the control unit so you know when a mic is hot.

      A couple of problems:

Those who feel the need to grab the gooseneck while they talk tend introduce static.

I tried having all of them hot at the same time as people kept forgetting to push the button. If doing this they seem to interfere with themselves and static is introduced.

VHF is known to pick up interference and static and a couple of times I've picked that up as well.

The sensitivity isn't great. You wouldn't want to rely on these to capture a very large proximity but they seem to work well at about one per 3 linear people.

I don't have much else to say really. I give this a four based more on Value than performance. If you look at the price of "real" systems, you'd almost have to be a fool to expect this to perform on par with those. But, it has its place and is definitely worth the low price.

One last thing - I won't show as a confirmed buyer which is unfortunate. I sent a wishlist to my purchaser.

      I hope this is helpful.
