The Audio-Technica AT8801 line-powered device allows the use of remote-powered microphones with systems that do not supply phantom power. The AT8801 features a highly-regulated power supply which provides a constant voltage source, even with a heavily-loaded input. The regulator IC is internally protected to prevent overheating or damage even if shorted. The rugged steel case is finished in enamel and provides shielding from electrostatic interference.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8801 Single Phantom Power Supply:

I bought this because the old mixer at church didn't have Phantom Power. I am using it to power a new Audio Technica Dynamic Podium Mic.
I like the fact that it is compact, yet still very well built. Perfect for what I needed.

Of course, if you need several channels, don't bother getting something like this, you are better off to either get a four channel power supply. If you only need two Channels, most new USB audio interfaces include Phantom Power.
