The ATH-M2X is a supra-aural, open back dynamic headphone that features high performance drivers and low-mass diaphragms. A high sensitivity and low impedance rating means the headphone will respond well to a given amount of signal.

We use these as backup monitors for our DSLR rig - simple combo of DR-100, 60D and basic steadicam.
Whilst not being 4-driver in-ear monitors, they also cost about 20 bucks, and for that price, the sound is amazing (and also LITERALLY 1 100th of the price...)!
The one thing I would look out for is the lead - if you're taking them on a shoot - bring a rubber band..
Things to avoid:
- Stepping on them,
- Using them to mix U2
- using them on trains and buses (NO earphones should be used on public transport - they sap your social prowess and numb your brain, plus - your rap music annoys EVERYONE).

I've had these for about 2 years, been traveling all over Africa and Europe, sleeping with the headphones on and still feels great in the morning. Yes, OK, one ear cushion fell off, but I put it back on! I'm going to buy 3 pairs to make sure I have them in stock for when they stop making them!

The moment I tried on the headphones, I felt that it fit perfectly. As I use this at work for hours on end, I needed something that fit nicely and won't feel uncomfortable after having it on for a while.
The sound quality was good as well. I'm not an audiophile but the sounds are clear and the bass wasn't too overpowering. For its price, this is definitely a great buy.

I use these mostly for digital home music recording recording and mixing. My long trusty high end Sennheisers bit the dust after 13 years and I just needed to run out and buy something cheap as a replacement until I could order a new pair of Sennheisers. These were SO light and didn't hurt my ears at all after several hours. The sound quality can't compare but they certainly are doing the job. They give an accurate enough representation...I'm rarely suprised when I run the final mix thru my JBL studio monitors or burn a disc and try it in my car. I'd say you can't go wrong with these!

I'm a video editor and needed some headphones that not only provided good audio quality but were also comfortable enough to wear for sometimes 10 hours a day. After trying several different brands and models, I finally found these and this is the second pair that I've purchased.
