I bought this stand with a goose neck to hold a web cam. The idea was to mount the web cam on the end of the goose neck and then be able to bend the goose neck over so the web cam could be used as a document cam. This base was not heavy enough for this application. It kept tipping over. I now have a heavier stand that works fine.
