This item is great. I also upgraded it after the fact to the GEO Tagging and it works great. Do this, it actually works and worth the [$] upgrade.PRO: Effortless set up and use. Uploads photos to my PC and to my Picasa account as soon as I come within my wifi network with no issues. CON: If you have a large amount of pictures it could take a while to upload. Still faster to just pull the SD Card and put into the PC. To me this is a minor issue. 200 pics still upload faster then I would have taken to get set up to upload the pics. Only other con is that it slightly drains the battary faster. It is noticiable but it doesn't kill my battary on my D90. Plus you can turn it off in my D90 menu.Great Product. Highly recommend it to the prosumer like myself.

I use my connect x2 card to wirelessly download photos from my card to my laptop when I am doing sitesales.
The only problem I have here is that the instructions don't include how to connect to a computer without a router. I have a router that I use to connect other hardware when I travel... however the router is not a modem. There were no instructions available for connecting the csrd to the network without internet connection.
Other than the problem, stated above, my card works as advertised when I am on my home network... it doesn't give me any advantage at home.

Did not work with my D3100. Also, this product assumes a wireless network connected to a wired (dsl or cable) input. I use a wireless internet connection (usb dongle) attached to my computer. I did not want to send the files to a tablet or phone. The card kept attempting to transfer the files over and over, with no success. Tried using with a point and shoot Olympus... the camera did not recognize the card. I had to return it.

This is a great card for either wireless tethering your camera to a laptop or tablet on shoot for immediate review and feedback, or for setting up automatic transfers to your computer once you get back to your home/office.
Main issue is that it doesnt transfer RAW's, but you can upgrade to their pro model for that feature.
High recommend.

Will not transfer RAW. Only JPEG. Works great and transfers fast in direct mode. When in direct mode you will not need wifi. The card will makes its own wifi and your ipad will pick it up. Start the app then I just switch to the photos app and all the pics update there.

First question asked, let me see, which is a great slow down. I steer them to the order desk where they can view the photos which are coming up on the computer screen and there they make their choices and I continue shooting the next client

How can they not label this more clearly? Doesn't transfer RAW format! Do they expect to get pros to use this? I didn't know until it arrived and we were trouble shooting for an hour. After calling customer service, they told us. Would this have been expensive for them to add RAW capability? Probably not. Just a dumb, annoying decision that's not spelled out clearly enough. RMA time!

I use this during location portrait shoots to send small JPEGs to my iPhone or iPad for the client to review. It's much easier for us to review them together on the iPhone/iPad rather than looking at the back of the camera, and using iPhoto, we can mark the client's favorites in just a few minutes at the end of the shoot. This is a nice lightweight alternative to bringing a laptop and wired tether, which is great when I have to schlep all my gear solo.

I use this primarily for the ease of photo taking and transferring of photos. I am very tired of taking the card out, backing it up on the computer. I find it also does a great job transferring videos onto my computer. I also liked that it can do a direct transfer from camera to ipad. I also use this for photo booth events.
The only issue I have is that sometimes it doesn't initiate properly. I had to turn off the camera and turn it back on for it to work again. Another thing is that it drains the battery of the camera fairly quickly. These cons aren't a dealbreaker for me though. I am still glad I bought one.

I bought the product for use in a Doxie scanner and it's dead simple to use. The installation instructions were not very intuitive and were a little vague in places, but I eventually figured it out and now I can scan wirelessly! Yay! (I hate my life that I get excited about scanning wirelessly....)

Comments about Eye-Fi 4GB SDHC Memory Card Connect X2 Wireless Class 6:
I only use this to set up a local hot spot to transfer small jpeg's to my iPad from my 5D MKIII. The camera allows me to have just the small JPEGs written to the SD card so I'm not trying to transmit RAW files to my iPad.
Even with choosing an HD sized JPEG, 1920x1280, it takes about 3 seconds for each image to transfer, so it is not fast. But it does work and keeps clients happy.
Tip: I'm 100% windows based (Well OK, I do have the iPad) so I do not have iPhoto. So I was looking at having to delete thousands of small JPEGs one at a time. So what I do is plug in the iPad via the USB cable and wait for itunes to open. Then open Windows Explorer, navigate to the iPad memory section (Computer\Apple iPad\Internal Storage\DCIM\(there will be another folder name here)) and delete all of the images I do not want at once.

I am pretty satisfied with my purchase, this I purchased after some research and being impressed with the concept that my images will "Fly" from camera to my computer. The setup was a breeze, as it was intuitive, the "setup guide" is not very useful, but importantly I didn't had any issues with the setup. I could complain about speed, as it is slower compared to USB transfer but does not annoy me much to make this a bad apple. The simultaneous upload to Flickr is also a breeze. Overall its a nice product that is sure costly but does it job well. Don't keep over expectations from it, but will deliver on its promise.

I hoped to use this to preview shots using the iPad as a wireless monitor for a Canon 60D. It does work, although the transfer can take several seconds, even at small resolution. In short, a direct cable connection is the better route to get the "live" monitor effect.
Changing card setting must be done only in a computer, with buggy software I found to be less than simple to use (as in, the Mac version offers an option to set a "bad" storage directory for the iPad by selecting a directory on the host computer, then subsequently fails in an odd manner).

There is a lot of talk on the internet about people combining this product with a Canon 5D Mark II using a CF adapter. I thought I would share my thoughts.
For the first round of this experiment, the card would lose connection shortly after initialting a download from the card to either the wireless network or the target of a direct connection. Card was RMA'd.
Second go around worked much better. Setup was fairly easy, image transfer is fairly quick. This was used in conjunction with an iPad (3rd Gen) along with the Eye-Fi app. App is acceptable, but not great. The things that would make this product very useful in the field (Geo-tagging, connecting to hotspots) are not included in this version of the card, and are available as a paid upgrade. These are the things that got this product the three stars.
As far as how it interacted with the setup that has been recommended by various peple trying to get this to work on multiple websites (NOT by the manuafacturers of Eye-fi as it requires an unsupported adapter in this setup) the results were mixed. The card only got a few shots before it errors out trying to write to the card. This problem gets worse as time goes on, so I have to wonder if it isnt a heat issue. For the shoot that I just completed, I found myself having to take a few shots, turn off the camera, remove the CF adapter, and then begin again in a few minutes. The real pain is that in wi-fi mode, it seems to do this more, so I used direct mode. This means that I had to reconnect the iPad ater each shutdown.
The good news is that when it works, it works so slick that you will actually wait the extra couple of minutes rather than shooting and previewing it at full res later.

Easy to install software and setup. App on the smart phone is easy to use and good for sending pics back to the news desk and get them back quick.
Good for sending images direct to the laptop and for clients to see. No tripping over cords.
CF card version would be great to work with my Nikon D3, but the SD version is great with the Canon 1D mkIV at work.
App software could do with an FTP and metadata option for those of use who need it, even having access to the description data would solve most of my issues.
An excellent addition to the kit, and worth the price, I'd get a bigger card next time.
