The Elite 10x42 from Bushnell boasts fluoride ED lenses with XTR lens coating technology - this remarkable optical refinement delivers an outstanding level of light transmission - up to 97% for each lens and up to 90% for the entire optical system.

To ensure crystal clear viewing at all times - the Elite's ED lenses also benefit from Bushnell's water-repellent RainGuard HD coating - this proprietary technology minimizes external lens fogging, and it also causes moisture build-up from rain and condensation to bead up into fine droplets for enhanced viewing capability in rain, snow, sleet, and dynamic climates.

The Elite 10x42 features a rugged housing that is constructed from a lightweight yet durable magnesium alloy - magnesium offers a significant reduction in weight along with enhanced rigidity. The internal chamber is filled with bone-dry nitrogen and o-ring sealed for lasting all-weather performance. The housing's exterior sports a rubber armoring along with a resilient powder-coat finish for a no-slip grip and added protection against abrasions, bumps, and rough handling.

    Clear, Colorful and bright

Comments about Bushnell Elite 10x42 Binocular:

I just purchased a pair of these Elites and I have to say they are thee superb color enhancing bright optics that you hear about. I've looked through many binoculars including the top Nikon and Swarovski pairs and they are not even significantly different at all. Bushnell has knocked it out of the optic park again with this inexpensive unparrelled performance. I must have made a good purchase, because the first day I got to use these bad boys a Adult Golden Eagle flew over the airport while I was working. Hadn't seen one of those in Illinois for over three years. So I'd have to say I'm satisfied with my purchase. Buy a pair. You'll become attached to them.

Comments about Bushnell Elite 10x42 Binocular:

I'm a bit of an optics snob, having spent 20+ years around serious birders, so when it came time to buy my own "elite" glass, I searched them all. I had saved my $ for over a year and expected to pay over $1K for top glass. However, a veteran birder I was with one morning had an older pair of Baush&Lomb Elites. That surprised me since he could afford any pair of binoculars he wants. I looked through them and man am I glad I did. I got online and purchased a pair of these new Bushnell Elites with the ED glass and couldn't be happier. Had a chance to compare them side by side with a fellow's new Swarovski 10x42's and he and I both agreed that my Bushnell Elites were lighter and brighter than his. I didn't tell him that my binoculars were $1K less than his though. Didn't want to ruin his day.

If you're looking for elite caliber glass, look no further. This is a superb optic for a budget price.
