The Dot Line 9 x 12" Desktop Copy Stand is a smaller version of the RS-CS380 (12 x 18"). This is a small, portable stand that can be used in venues that do not supply their own copy facilities. Or, keep it around your studio for those quick jobs.
The two sections are adjustable to accommodate the size of your subject. This is important when trying to correct for proper framing. The laminated baseboard is complimented by an all metal construction that will stand up to a rough time. Your camera is supported via a standard 1/4 x 20 mounting screw.
This is a reasonably priced stand that can be used for a multitude of purposes from simple copying to macro photography.
Note! This stand does NOT include any lights

The stand works great, the adjustment screws hold the camera tight but loose enough for slight adjustments. I use the stand for photographing coins and jewelry to be posted and sold on-line.

Comments about RPS Lighting 9 x 12" Desktop Copy Stand:
Our staff often visits clients in their homes and need to make a record of documents, photos, artifacts and condition of premises. It is unwieldy to take a scanner or photocopier to offsite locations, so this copy stand is the perfect option to make images of documents to view later at the office on the computer.

Comments about RPS Lighting 9 x 12" Desktop Copy Stand:
the arm is only 12 inches which is fine for a small point and shoot camera but if you use a dslr it is hard to get a good shot bc the camera is half the height of the arm.
other wise it is a good product

Comments about RPS Lighting 9 x 12" Desktop Copy Stand:
I bought this to photograph 8x10 artwork in my home. The board is just a little too small with the attachment sticking from it to capture the entire image with a digital point & shoot. It seems sturdy enough to hold up a DSLR with a small lens, but next time I will be getting a slightly larger stand. For the price, it's pretty decent, but judge what you are going to be shooting and assume you need to go larger- the pole will take up almost an inch of the long side.
