The Oben CT-2300 3-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod is a sturdy, professional support for any DSLR, point-and-shoot camera, or a compact camcorder. With a load capacity of 11 lb and a generous maximum height of 57.7", the tripod offers a number of advanced features that ensure its stability and reliable performance.

The tripod features ergonomically designed rubber twist locks on each leg. Because legs are non-rotating, both of a leg's locks can be disengaged at once with a single twist of the wrist. This enables extremely fast setup of the CT-2300. A thoughtful leg design makes it a simpler task to service and maintain the leg sections.

With its rigid yet lightweight 6x carbon fiber legs and center column, the CT-2300 tips the scales at only 2 lb. The tripod chassis is cast aluminum for sturdiness, so the CT-2300 is ready to survive the rigors of professional use.

The CT-2300's rapid center column extends with a twist of the butterfly knob. For protecting your camera when the column is retracted quickly, there's a rubber damper under the center-post collar. Steel locking screws underneath the collar enable you to fasten a camera head to it more securely.

Pull-in/push-out positive leg locks allow you to set the positions of the three legs independently at three different angles. This allows you to shoot from low angles or on uneven terrain. For stability on softer terrain, the CT-2300 features metal spikes that retract and emerge by twisting the foot's rubber portion.

For extreme low-angle shooting, the center column is easily reversible. The retractable metal counterweight hook serves as a stopper at the bottom of the CT-2300's center column.

The two included Allen keys attach to a tripod leg, so you're always ready to tighten components

Comments about Oben CT-2300 3-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs:

Last year, I bought a used Manfrotto 3221. Great legs, but after hauling them up and down some serious grades on an outdoor shoot, I eagerly ordered the Oben CT-2300. Haven't hiked with my new legs yet, but they've been great for my regular videotaping gig and a portrait session yesterday!

Comments about Oben CT-2300 3-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs:

I have a large tripod and head to use when I am not far from the car. I bought this as a lightweight tripod to carry around with a Sirui G20 head. The setup is very lightweight and easy to carry. This tripod is a compromise, not quite tall enough and not quite as sturdy as I would like. But these issues relate to the reasons I bought it. If it were taller and sturdier, it would weigh and cost more.

I am pleased with the quality. When you get it, sit down in front of the TV, and lock and unlock and extend each leg about a hundred times and it will work more smoothly.

Overall, I am very happy with it.

Comments about Oben CT-2300 3-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs:

Picked this up as an alternative to my large, heavy tripod when I need to travel light. time will tell if it's durable but so far so good. I needed something much smaller and convenient to strap onto my motorcycle for an upcoming road trip and this will fill the bill perfectly. I put a moderate size ball head on it keeping with the compact and lightweight nature of it. you have to give up something to gain the portability, and in this case it's a bit of height (I'm 5'10" and I need to lean a little bit at full extension) and thin legs (the lower third are on the thin side). you cant put a big tele on this and expect it to be rock solid but for a consumer camera and basic lens it's solid enough to get the shot. decent build quality and features. good value for the money and noticeably lighter than the aluminum version. perfect for the on-the-move photog

Comments about Oben CT-2300 3-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs:

Well made. Good quality material. Very light. BUT: poorly designed. Legs on first setting do not open at a wide enought angle to give good support! Raising the center column even makes the matter worse by putting the apex of the balance point higher up, and makes the tripod even more tippy! (The second leg opening setting makes the tripod far too wide a stance for normal use, and lower's the over-all height setting so low that it would only be useful for some aound 5ft. tall.) Also, the groove cut in the center column to keep it from rotating had knife like sharp edges! I had to carefully wet sand them with super fine wet/dry sand paper to knock the sharp edges down. I would trust nothing more then a light point & shoot camera on top of it, or a small light weight spotting scope. I purchased two(2) as a Christmas presents for my sister's, that I put lightweight fairly inexpensive spotting scopes on. At the super sale Christmas price I purchased them at, they were a great buy. At normal price, I'd spend more $ ti purchase a tripod, or another name brand tripod I'm familiar with. Too bad; otherwise, it's a really nice carbon fiber tripod! It just need's a slightly greater degree of angle on the first opening setting to make it much more stable!
