The Oben BA-2 Ball Head is a sturdy, lightweight aluminum ball head for photography. With a load capacity of 26.45 lb, the BA-2 head will support DSLR cameras even as they're equipped with long, heavy telephoto lenses and multiple accessories.
The BA-2 head's single-action knob allows you to unlock all axes of movement in one fell swoop, so you can quickly orient your camera properly, retighten the knob, and return to shooting. The ball-locking mechanism is remarkably strong for reliably stable performance.
The included quick-release plate attaches to your camera via its standard 1/4"-20 screw. A retractable, removable video pin provides additional stability for camcorders. The quick-release plate easily snaps and locks into place on the BA-2 head. The safety lock on the quick-release mechanism prevents the camera from disengaging inadvertently.

Purchased as a kit with the Oben CC-2310 3-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs. Nice construction. Locks camera in place!

Comments about Oben BA-2 Ball Head:
I'm very happy with this item. I don't have a great deal of experience with tripods and heads, but knew I wanted something solid, that would last, was lightweight and could do everything needed. I got the CT-2310 3-section carbon tripod and the BA-2 ball head in a kit. Everything works great and feels solid with nice features. I'm very happy with it and am glad I got it. Also got good advice from B&H on what to look for for use with my cameras and lenses that was quality, but still affordable. THX

Comments about Oben BA-2 Ball Head:
I loved the durability of the product. My only concern was that it was slightly larger and heavier than I would have hoped, making not ideal for traveling. I maybe should have gone with the BA-1.

Comments about Oben BA-2 Ball Head:
Sturdy and easy to use. For the price you cant beat it. I use this for night shoots and it does a great job at holding my 5D MKII and 16-35mm L lens in every position I need.

Comments about Oben BA-2 Ball Head:
This ball head is amazing
I've been looking for a ball
head that would support a heavy camera
solidly built, no plastic parts, 360
degree pannable and came with a metal quick
release plus a bolt that you dont have to
use a screwdrive to mount a camera on
I found it all in this head
I know that it will last me for many years

Comments about Oben BA-2 Ball Head:
This is a good tripod for starter! It's strong, stable and does the job well in most cases. The only thing that prevents me from giving the 5star is the lock- It does not lock well with heavy equipments unless you turn the knob really hard!

Comments about Oben BA-2 Ball Head:
Has several levels to insure proper photo angle.
Has a 3/8 " thread with a 1/4 " insert so that will screw on almost any tripod.
Made of metal, very durable. Oben products are comparable to Manfrotto but less expensive.
