The Zeikos 58mm High Quality 4.5X Telephoto Lens is an auxiliary lens that magnifies your existing lens by a factor of 4.5x. For example, when this auxiliary lens is attached to a 50mm lens, the lens will have an angle of view of a 225mm lens. This multicoated optical glass auxiliary lens attaches to the front of an existing lens with a 58mm filter thread. For lenses with a 52mm thread a step-up ring is included. Using this "auxiliary" telephoto lens is an economical alternative to buying expensive lenses.

Comments about Zeikos 58mm High Quality 4.5X Telephoto Lens:
I bought this lens to increase the focal length of my Canon PowerShot G12, but this is not the answer that I was looking for. The G12 cannot focus correctly through this lens without a great amount of distortion. I tried it on my PowerSot A510, and as long as I focus manually, it will give somewhat satisfactory results.

Comments about Zeikos 58mm High Quality 4.5X Telephoto Lens:
I purchased this lens for my Canon PowerShot G12 hoping to get extra focal range. Since I shoot in RAW, I cannot focus in enough to eliminate the vignetting. Also, the G12 cannot auto-focus through this lens. Luckily I can use it with the Canon PoswerShot A510 that I have, however the image quality really suffers with this attached. Not really worth the money for point and shoot cameras.

Comments about Zeikos 58mm High Quality 4.5X Telephoto Lens:
This may be overkill for my Nikon P7100. 4.5 x the camera zoom 7.14 gets about 32x and maybe I don't have much use for that, but I'm keeping it, anyway. I will need to set up my tripod on a high hill across the river, to see how it really works. I get great results with a less powerful (2.2x Digital Concepts) add-on lens, and it suits most of my needs. I'm assuming that with the Zeikos 4.5 x, the angle of vision is such that the slightest movement will blur the results, and that indeed is what I have experienced so far. I'm looking forward to using it in a more stable, longer distance, environment, and may well upgrade my stars after that.

Comments about Zeikos 58mm High Quality 4.5X Telephoto Lens:
As a profesional photographer I like to be able to get as close to my subjects as possible. With this lens I'm able to get in close from a distance without having to move. The lens is best used with a tri-pod or mono pod and if you have the right sized filters 62mm, there is so much more that can be done

Comments about Zeikos 58mm High Quality 4.5X Telephoto Lens:
This multiplier works great on shorter lenses, especially fixed lenses. When attached to my Canon fixed 50mm F1.8 lens, it effectivly give me an 135mm F1.8. It's not exactly 225mm as advertised but does give a little extra zoom.
It does not work on a longer telephoto. When used on my Canon EF 75-300mm, it only works in the 75mm to 100 mm range. Maybe as high as 200mm with some fuzzyness, but anything beyond that is totally blurred.
I'm using a T2i on a budget, so having this multiplier attached to my inexpensive fixed 50mm gives me some a few options when I really need a lower F stop than my EFS 18-55mm F3.5-5.6
