Wimberley makes the best products. Solid, useful, and you can feel the quality when hold and using any of their products. I bought this QR Clamp for my off-camera flash. I like to use an off-camera flash so that I more control and can eliminate shadows created by the flash. I use the C-12 QR Clamp and P5 QR Plate on a light stand. This allows me to quickly and with one hand, mount and dismount the flash head as I move about the shoot. Great products!

Well-made, works very smoothly and securely. Somewhat expensive, but if you're hanging thousands of dollars of gear on it, worth it!

The Quick Release Clamp works Perfectly with my Skimmer Ground Pod. It holds my 500mm lens securely and it keeps the lens close to the ground. I could not ask for more.

I have screwed two back to back to use to attach a camera body to the Wimberley gimbal head for portrait mode if the lens does not have a collar mount. The mount is quick and secure.The release has a versatile mounting system so it can be used to convert monopods and a wide variety of ball heads to accept the arca-swiss plates. The release can be mounted on something with a stud up or something which needs a screw from the mount down.It holds as securely as the longer Wimberley quick release mount does for less money.

With the C-12 mounted on my monopod I no longer have to remove the wimberley plate to mount a long lens. Lens is secure and plate is on for gimbal or monopod use.

I like the smaller size of the handle. I have another clamp and the handle is much larger. Probably a matter of personal taste but the smaller one functions just as well and it is more compact.

I have a large Manfrott ball head. The standard quick release was akward and got stuck a lot. I decided to try the Wimberley clamp and plate. It has proven to be fool proof and effective with only a single thumb screw. this saved the ball head and put the standard quick release in the trash.

I bought this clamp to use with my Canon 500mm lens on a monopod. I feel much more confident that with the quick release type attachments for this relatively large lens.

I use the winberley c-12 along with a Feisol monopod. The combination is great. I connect the canon 1D mark III to it in a breeze.

The Quick release is easy to use and setup.

The Wimberley C-12 worked as expected and locks down tight with perfect size tightening knob. It is responsible for taking care of my Canon 500mm F4 IS and it's doing an outstanding job.

I use this clamp on a monopod (Gitzo GM5541). The main reason is so I can quickly switch my 400mm 2.8L IS from monopod to tripod. The screw clamp is great. It stays tight!

This is my second Wimberley C-12 release clamp. Bought one a few months ago for my monopod and just bought this one for my tripod. Took it to the ocean to photograph whales with my Nikon 400mm 2.8 (It has a Wimberley replacement foot.) and it worked perfectly. As always, price [...] frm B&H was great!

I us this clamp for my supertelephoto In conjunction with the P20 and P30 that I bought. It is convenient to use when using multiple lenses, like the 300 mm and the 70-200 mm.
Cant' relly say anything bad about the pro duct .

I had this Wimberley C-12 installed on my Benro Carbon Monopod MC-96EX and now, my Canon 500 F4L IS USM + 7D can be mounted securely on the C-12. It is built very strong. It is easy to mount and unmount my Canon 500 F4L IS USM with Wimberley foot plate and C-12.

Now I can carry my Canon 500 F4L IS USM with Mononopod for a long hike and ready to shoot on monopod or off monopod (handheld) any time.
