The Zeikos 52/58mm High Quality 0.40x Fisheye Lens is an auxiliary lens that attaches to the front of an existing lens with a 58mm filter thread. For lenses with a 52mm thread a step-up ring is included. This auxiliary lens, when added to the front of your camera's lens, will create a circular image which will be 0.40x wider than your existing lens. This fisheye lens is made with multicoated optical glass, and has a steel barrel. Using this "auxiliary" fisheye lens is an economical alternative to buying expensive wide-angle lenses.

It's worth the price. Do not expect full fish eye effect. It does make the angle wider and get some rounded distortion, but, of course, not like a fish eye lens would have, but you would have to pay ten times more. Paying this much, it is a good product, you will have some nice artistic photos (yes, I use it to photograph); don't buy this to use professionally, obviously.
Pros and cons:
- PROS: the rounded distortion; makes the angle wider in a different way (with distortions in the borders; you can get REALLY close to the subject and it will focus and distort a lot.
- CONS: the focus is not THAT perfect specially if you use AF, because it is too heavy for the lens to hold and still rotate it; it won't have an interesting distortion unless you get really close to the subject; you have to use with the widest angle in order to have a little fish eye effect. I use it with my 18mm and it kind of does the job. If I use something less wide, it won't work, it'll just have the angle wider.

Cheap but Blurry
the Step-up Ring doesn´t fit well with the lens itself...
i think it´s ok for taking pictures that look like a nightmare or flashback...

Comments about Zeikos 52/58mm High Quality 0.40x Fisheye Lens:
This is a great little adapter. If you want to take some fisheye photos, just for fun this is great. It has a fairly dramatic distortion which is nice, and it is super wide angle. The quality of the image is not amazing, but that is to be expected as it's an adapter, any adapter will take a bit of clarity out of your photos. I gave this product 5 stars because I feel it performs as good as any adapter could. That being said- if you are hoping to get an image comparable to that taken with an actual fisheye lens, you will be dissapointed, you need to remember you are using an adapter- however chances are if you are browsing adapters, you don't plan on using this ALOT, and just want the ability to take a fun distorted picture... if this is the case, you will be happy with it!

I didn't want to spend $300.00 right now for a fisheye lens, but this small add on definitely fills the void at a great price. I used it taking street shots in New York city recently and got some fabulous results. It hard not to use this for almost every shot.

Comments about Zeikos 52/58mm High Quality 0.40x Fisheye Lens:
Very good for the price. I put this lens on my super-8 camera and finally I have about a 25mm wide angle view with no vignette at the widest angle. I tried it on another 14mm cheap kit lens and got very bad results. any fisheye perspective had a 'fish bowl' vignette so the fisheye part doesnt really work. also upon inspection of the photos I noticed some very bad color fringing to the point it was actually rainbow colored. Image was very soft around not just the outer edges but closer to the center of the lens. 'It did focus very well at the center of the lens'. NOTE the macro does not work at all so dont expect it.
flare was minimal when pointed directly at sunlight, my advice put in front of a good lens

Comments about Zeikos 52/58mm High Quality 0.40x Fisheye Lens:
I bought this just to give me a optional effect on images without spending the high cost of getting a whole full fisheye lens. Without question, on my 18-55 kit lens, there is a definite distortion effect at the lowest focal lengths. At higher focal lengths however, the distortion becomes less very quickly. In addition, however, the MACRO capability of the lens attachment is excellent. I was able to shoot some very close objects with great clarity. With the price considered here, this little attachment makes a great compliment to someone's kit for some optional uses.

Comments about Zeikos 52/58mm High Quality 0.40x Fisheye Lens:
So far have been very impressed for the price. I use it with my kit lens (18-55mm). The fisheye result works better with less zoom, and close to the subject (complete circlular picture), but some distrtion even at 55mm zoom. Can't wait to shoot more with it. It is heavy though as there is a lot of glass on the end of the lens.

Comments about Zeikos 52/58mm High Quality 0.40x Fisheye Lens:
Very easy to attach and use.
The fisheye effect is really cool, you can get nice pictures with the right amount of round distortion.
Anyway, the accessory is a little bit heavy (not a big problem though), when zooming the fisheye effect gets kinda lost, and you may need to stand very close to the objects/people for better effect.
