        Comments about Pearstone FireWire 400 4-Pin to 4-Pin Cable - 6' (1.8 m):

I could not get my desktop firewire port (6 pin) to communicate with an old palmcorder's 4-pin firewire port using a 6-pin to 4-pin cable. My laptop had a 4-pin firewire port so I needed a 4-pin to 4-pin cable to try it. It worked the first time. The laptop recognized the palmcorder, downloaded the driver it needed, and I easily (though slowly) am transferring the contents of those old tapes to my laptop.
