I've been able to transfer my data seamlessly to all my drives, I know have all 10 years of my photograph backed up on separate drives in new locations. I now have one of these in each of my locations for easy access to all my data!

This is my second item made by Aluratek. The first, a powered four port USB hub, worked where others failed. This dock also performs flawlessly. It powers up without any software needed and stays cool when idle. I would recommed this maker to freinds. I use it to make backups of large files of AV stuff to different drives for different projects during the day.

Having to replace several hardrives it's nice to be able to just pop the old drives into the docking enclosure to access any recoverable data without have to try and reinistall them. It's a great tool if your fortunate enough to know you have to change a drive or if you want to upgrade one. I find it easier to have old drives availble than recovering from bac-ups. It's an economical device to have and hope you don't have to use.

The unit works fine with even 3TB HDs as well. It is very simple to operate, there is no setup of any kind and much better than having a "housed" external drive. Just simply unplug one drive, install the other and there you go. Or, you can get two of them to syncronize between HDs.
The fitting, however, feels a bit loose. I was expecting a tighter fit with more secure feeling. But it works and that's what matters.
