The Pearstone USB 2.0 Type A Male to Type A Female Cable (3') is a premium quality cable that extends your existing USB device by 3' (0.9 m). It meets all specifications of USB 2.0 and is backward compatible with USB 1.1 devices. This premium extension cable supports error-free data transfer rates of up to 480 Mbs.
Braided copper shielding and an aluminum foil wrap protects against electromagnetic and radio interference and ensures a clean signal transfer, even with large files at high speed. The connectors are hot pluggable and install with Plug-and-Play ease.
This cable is manufactured under RoHS guidelines with no environmentally hazardous cadmium or lead and is UL rated and FCC certified.

My new Lacie external DVD burner came with two USB cables in case it needed extra power. Mine did, but my Mac powerbook pro, 2.16 Ghz has only one port on each side and the Lacie cables are not long enough to reach. This product solved that issue. However, I still have a problem with the drive. Almost every other time I use it the computer defaults to the computers DVD burner, which has an optical problem. So I have to reset the Pram every time this happens in order for the computer to default to the Lacie. Shouldn't be this way.
